getting ready for DS surg!! need some tips!!

Hello!!
I'm 1 month out from having DS!!!  Wanted to know if anyone had any tips on things i should be doing... buying... etc!!

I'm a bit nervous.....  i have my "nutrition" meeting 2 weeks before my surg date... so i really don't even know truly what to expect....

First of all, congratulations!  You wouldn't be human if you weren't nervous about it.

I'm having RNY, so I can't help you with the DS.  However, there is a message board strictly for the DS'ers, and I am sure someone there can help you out.  Your menu plans, aftercare, etc are going to be different from an RNY'er. 

Click on "Forums" at the top, then scroll down to Duodenal Switch.

Now, come back here often and let us know how you're doing!  My surgery is one week before yours.  What hospital are you having this done at?

Congrats on your upcoming surgery. My RNY is the 17th of Dec. I don't have answers for you other than to say I am an even mixture of excitement and nerves.
