Happy Saturday!

Good morning all!

We're going to be getting ready soon to go pick up the grandson's. I made an appointment for them at Craig's. Thank you Jeanie! We always take the child/children with the new haircuts out to eat afterward. Since Blueberry Hill is right there nearby, we're going to take them there. Chance absolutely loves waffles.

After we bring the boys home, we're going to go see Jean (my mil). She's suppose to be back in the rehab section so hopefully they are getting her up & walking again.

I got an update from Hope on Peter. It does not sound good at all friends. They both can use your prayers. Peter..for a miracle...and Hope to find comfort in God's will...no matter what that will may be. The lukemia is advancing very rapidly. He has pnumonia and until that is under control, they can't do much of anything about the cancer. It sounded very much like that short of a miracle, Peter doesn't have long..4 weeks/months is how Hope had put it. They are both absolute sweethearts and it is so sad to see them having to deal with something like this. He's at the IU cancer center. After my upper GI next Friday, Bill & I are planning to stop in and see them. Hopefully, the pnumonia will be under control so that Peter will feel up to a short visit. Peter's address is:

They both would appreciate cards or notes..but no ballons, flowers, stuffed animals, food, etc. He can't have anything in his room other that cards/letters.

I am so sad to hear about Peter.  I hate to have anyone go thru this especially at the holidays.  That's when we found out about Mom's cancer and she was gone by January 12th.  One month after the diagnosis, we were burying her.  I was grateful she didn't suffer any longer than she had to.  Christmas is supposed to be a joyful time.  It's just so hard.

I am thinking about what to do with my day.  I think since it is so yucky, I will just do laundry and pay games with my kids.  I don't feel much like doing anything anyway.  I want to make my ornament for the exchange so I thought maybe the kids and I would make some new ornaments for our tree as well.

I really need to find a winter coat soon.  It's getting to the point that I need one so badly.  I freeze on a normal day since I lost my natural insulation.  LOL.

Tracy ... I know what you mean about the insulation! I am always cold now. It doesn't help that my office keeps it chilly because of all the 'hot flashers' in there.

It's lind of a sober saturday huh!
I am so so sorry about Peter's diagnosis. I was for sure he was gonna beat this. Poor thing. I have seen the toll A long extended illness can due on the family. My coworkers sister battled a very rare form of stomache cancer and fought for almost a year and a half after they gave her a couple months to live and my poor friend was just beaten down.My thoughts and very very hard felt prayers are with Hope and Peter and their family.

I picked up an awesome winter coat last night  ( columbia coat for 49.99. reg. 160.00) and I have a 10.00 off coupon from dsw shoes on a 10.00 or more purchase, so I might pop over to metropolis to see what they have. I also have an Ulta coupon 3.50 off a 10.00 purchase coupon, which I can get another gift with. I am being very frugal this Christmas!

I am off work today and Terry is up stairs putting window  Insulation on the windows to save heat!
Well I am going to hop in the shower and quit being so lazy today. Have a great day.
