Okay Guys,

Today I called a radio station, radio now 100.9.  To talk with a psycic, named gary spivey, about my surgery next week 11/19.  I know alot of people are not beleivers of psycics and whatnot, and I am not really myself but my sister has been so overly dramatic and crying because she thinks I am going to die, that I really just needed some reassurance that I would be just fine.  If it wasn't for my sister going into "cry mode"  I wouldn't have called him so I just really did it for her.

The outcome that he had was that he thinks everything will be just fine.  He said he would do the same thing if he were 500 pounds.  He actually knew that I had bad sleep apnea and really high blood pressure.  I never have had a sleep test but he said I stop breathing at least 50 times a night, and that just totally shocked me!!!  Overall, he said I will do fantastic and the only thing he is really worried about is my lungs.  He wants me to tell Dr. Inman and the nurses to keep checking my lungs, so that kind of freaks me out a bit, but he said I would do great.

What I really want to tell you guys is that the show invited me to call them back before I go into surgery.  So I get the hospital around 6AM and I'll be calling in to the station at about 7 or so.  I just want to tell the INDY peeps if you guys want to listen in you can.  They really want to track my progress and how I do, and it's very exciting that they want to do that.  So if you guys are up and about turn your radio to radio now 100.9 and I'll be on there!

Just wanted to let you guys know that.  Take Care

I've listened to Gary Spivey before.  He is amazing.  I'm glad he gave you such a positive reading.  Good luck to you.  I will try to remember to listen to the radio.

He is totally Amazing!  Such a great guy!  And suprisingly very very accurate.  Way more accurate than Sylvia Brown I think.  Thank you so much for the comment Joyce!  And if you can't tune in that's just fine!  Just wanted to let people know who are interested.

Brok,

I'm gonna have to see if I  can pick up a radio station in the lab on my ipod. I've never tried it...and now I have a good excuse! You know...you should talk to them about sending you a recording of each call so that you'd have an audio journal of this. Two years down the road, you can be sharing it with pre-ops to show them that what they are feeling is normal!

I ALWAYS think it is fantastic when WL****s the media. Just don't do like that one idiot in Indy Star did. He'd eat french fries and milk shakes and put that in his article as if those were perfectly ok for post-ops to have!! You have a real opportunity to show the public how terrific WLS can be! I applaud you for that and am behind you all the way!!
