Peter back in Hospital

Hi all,
My DH is back in the hospital with CMV in his lungs causing Pneumonia (just learned all this today). We got here tuesday afternoon because he was short of breath and had high fever. His Leukemia has rapidly progressed, with 79% blasts showing in his blood stream (immature blood cells, leukemic cells - this is not good ). Finding this new out on our arrival at the hospital put us both in shock and many tears later we are now calmer and processing the treatment of his lungs first. The docs will face treating the Leukemia after his recovery from the virus and pneumonia.
All this said, my emotions have been going hay-wire and I've been clinging to munchies to get thru the day. Put on some more weight. My goal this fall was to get back on track, then WHAM! this comes along much to the shock of his doctors.
Anyway, I'm killing time while he's snoring and decided to pop in on the boards. Good to see all the new posts, and good luck to those just beginning their journey.

Hope, I have had Peter in my prayers.  I will also pray for his medical staff to find the best way to treat him and heal him.  I will pray for you so that you will find comfort and strength.  Take care of yourself.

Bill & I will keep you and Peter in our thoughts and prayers. I so wish that Peter could had started 2009 with all of this way behind him. I'm off the next few days. If you need something...even a friend to talk to, I'm here for you hon. After next Mon-Wed, I'll be off till Dec. 1st. Please don't hesitate to call.

Praying for Peter and your family.

Hope, I am praying that God keeps Peter and you and your family in the circle of His loving and healing arms and gives you all peace, healing and understanding along with acceptance. Know that He will be there for you when you cry out in the darkness of what is your life right now. He will never leave you or reject you. I am keeping his medical staff in prayers right now for knowledge and understanding and compassion.

Please keep us posted on how things are going and know that we are here for you whenever you need us. I am sending love and gentle hugs to you all right now. I know that you can feel them.
