God Works in Mysterious Ways.....Wow!

Just a quick note as I am rushing around packing ....yep out of the blue my oldest daughter and I are flying out in the morning for Vegas to attend the funeral on Friday. A dear friend paid for our flights and I am feeling so blessed. I called my sister and she is thrilled that we are coming and will be there for 6 days. God worked it all around so I feel it is the thing to do. My hubby is not happy with me being gone so long and going to Vegas, his favorite place of all without him but this is not a vacation trip. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. I will be off here till I get back and didn't want you all to wonder what happened to me :o)

Thats is just amazing....I am sorry you are going to your favorite place for such bad reasons but it's wonderful you get to go. My DH's flight gets in from midnight from san fran., he flew out for his uncles funeral, so I completely understand. Best wishes to you and your family. Have a safe trip and enjoy your visit. Thanks Shanna, I truly beleive that funerals are sad for our selfish loss of someone special in our lives but they are a happy event knowing they have gone on to heaven and we will one day again be rejoined with them. It is more a celebration of their life than the death part. I am really looking forward to getting some quality time with my sister and I know she is just a tickled as I am. To share this with my daughter is so special for me. I talked to my parents tonight and both my Mom and Dad said it was the right thing for me to do. That meant more to me than anything! Mom said to let God move and she thought it was a beautiful thing to do. Do I have the most awesome parents or what! LOL I just pray that my hubby will soften up...he is really crabby/nasty about it all and says it is a waste of time...now if he were going and we could make more of a vacation out of it he would change his tune fast....men..ya just got to love them thru the tough times! lol
