I've never had one after having WLS (as I haven't yet had surgery), but have had 2 for other reasons. They really are a piece of cake. A little iv, a little happy juice, and you wake up when it's all over. A little sluggish all day and don't remember much for a while, but all in all a piece of cake. Don't be scared.

Jeanna, I had one before surgery years back and it wasn't a big deal.  If you want someone with experience since surgery hookup with SweetSherri.  She has had nearly 20 of them since hers, I believe.  She should be able to answer any question you would have about them.  She could probably do one herself.  lol.

I know you are worried.  It's normal but remember, you are in great hands with your surgeon.  They really know their stuff.

Take care,
Tracy

I just had one a few weeks ago.  It is just like they said...they give you some fun medicine and you wake up when it is over.  I had one years ago, also.  It's really no big deal.

I have had 3 since early October.  They are a snap.  The second and third ones I actually enjoyed!  You are a hoot when you are coming out from under the drugs, my husband says he wishes he would have taken a video camera.

That afternoon was the best 3 afternoons of sleep I have ever had.  Zero pain after, not even a sore throat or anything.

The pictures are the best!

Can I ask why your having yours done?  Mine was because my  hole to my stomach kept closing and Icould not eat anything solid.

Take care and enjoy!

Kim
