Told my mom

It went so well! She was so receptive and supportive. I cried, scared that she wouldn't be supportive. We have such a close relationship I didn't know what I would do if she didn't support my decision. BUT, she totally did. When we got home from dinner, I gave her all the paperwork I had printed for her and she read every bit of it. She had lots of great questions which I answered. She said she can't wait til I'm borrowing her clothes!

Melissa,
I'm so glad- most of us Mom's would support our girls no matter what! I know I'd support my daughter if she ever chose to do this- 100%.My girls were apprehensive/fearful (I was 57 when I had mine) at first, but are  my BEST supporters now!!! Now, answer each question you can, come to our gatherings ( bring Mom, too) she needs to know there is life afterwards!

Melissa

I am so happy how receptive and supportive she is being. It really makes a difference when Mom says go for it and with you on it. Congrats

That's so awesome that you have her approval and support.  I lost my mom 10 years ago and would have loved to have had her with me and my sisters as we had our surgeries.  My mom died from complications with morbid obesity and since then 3 of my 5 sisters have had the surgery.  You mom is awesome for having such a great attitude.  Hug her often and thank her and God everyday!
