VOTE DAY!!!!

And the best thing about vote day??? NO MORE POLITICAL COMMERCIALS!!! Yay!! We FINALLY get a break from all the rhetoric's!  I did hit record for the SNL special last night...lol

I got the follow-up x-ray done yesterday of my stomach and it looked like all remnants of the mock pill has left the building! Another yay!

Then we had dinner with Emil & Beck, Annette, Floyd & Brenda. It was so terrific seeing each of them again! So super-duper YAY!

Well..I think today I am going to try to get together with the supplies stocker to combine our list of needs with those of the new group. Really shouldn't take much. I'm waiting on our admin to get hold of Brian (my boss) about a couple of monitors. If she doesn't have them...or not enough, the IT guy over here is going to give them to me. I need 4 monitors & 2 keyboards to get everything up & running. All because Brian didn't want to spring the idea of a switcher box on these guys over here. They are actually disappointed that we aren't doing it. Ah...they are kindred spirits! hehehe.....

Chat at ya later....Have a good day everyone....and....

GO VOTE!

I don't care who you vote for, but GO VOTE! It is our right, our privilege, and our duty.

Good morning all.  Don't forget to vote today if you haven't already done so.  Every vote counts.

Sorry I missed dinner last night.  Seems like I've always got conflicting things going on.  My friend had her WLS surgery yesterday, they were late taking her in so she didn't get out of recovery and back to her room till after 6:00 last night.  Surgery went well but she was in pain of course.   So we have another hoosier loser on the bench.

I've still got quite a few cases to work today.  The good thing about that is time goes quicker when I'm busy.    I've put in for some promotions and it would be great to get more money, but sometimes cringe about leaving my comfort zone if I would get picked up somewhere else.  I know I would be capable of learning a new job.  Goodness knows I've had enough different types in my working years.  From pre-school aide to casino count room to budget analyst, I even worked as a clown for a party store.  If it paid the bills, I did it.

By the way, is there a Partylite person on the board?  My DIL's favorite candle holder got broken (my granddaughter was in BIG trouble) and I'd like to replace it for her.

Sherri, if it went well with the mock pill, does it mean the real deal should be okay?  That's the test where they can see what's going on inside?   I hope it all goes well and they find the problem AND the solution.

Best get busy.  I want to leave early to VOTE.    Hugs and good wishes going out to all today.

Julie

Julie,

They originally thought Friday that since the mock pill made it into the colon that it would be ok to proceed with the camera pill. Upon a closer look at the x-rays though, it looked like the mock pill had started dissolving in my small intestines. They could see 'jell' in them. I think the painful time I had Saturday was when it passed from the small intestines to the colon. So...since the camera pill does not dissolve at all, they are leery that it would get stuck. Last I heard yesterday was that it was very doubtful that they would attempt it. So...what's next? Who knows?!?!

Right now, there's also a big concern over my last set of bloodwork. Some things were elevated (ALT, AST, TSH) that shouldn't have been....and some were too low (hmg, white cell count) that shouldn't have been. I go to see my endocrinologist in the morning..he should be the one to decide what to try with most of those. I just don't think I'm absorbing the stuff right. Especially given that last year, I was steady at 137mcg of synthroid. Since last October, it had to be increased to 150 and then 162. The limits for TSH are 0.4-4.0. The higher it is, the more synthroid you need. My TSH this time was 7.02.

Missed seeing you last night!

The AST and ALT are liver enzymes, if you've been on a lot of antibiotics, or any types of meds or anything that goes through the liver that would explain that. Unless they're super high (mine were in the 600-700s and even higher a couple times) normally docs don't pay too much attention to them unless it's recurring.  Again I'm not a doctor and you'll have to ask your doc about it BUT if they're not terribly high don't stress over them. :) It's typically nothing.

Thanks Misty. i'm really trying hard not to think about it for right now. I made the mistake of Googling each test that was off. AST & ALT can also signify that you've had a heart attack. I haven't been on any antibiotics and have been off of any tylenol meds (ie vicodin) for a few months now. I really believe that it is my TSH and white count that is going to be of the greater concern. They are all things though that my endocrinologist has been keeping an eye on. My next appointment with him is in the morning. In the meantime, there's six different doctors looking over the results. between all of them, maybe they'll come up with an 'ah-ha' moment...and if I'm real lucky, it'd explain my distension & other things as well.

Trust me, I don't stress over stuff like this. Nurses usually can't believe how low my BP is BEFORE I go into surgery.

Thanks again...

I just wanted to let you know about that with antibiotics in particular. Because of my liver enzymes being sooo high every time I am on antibiotics I have to get them checked during the course of action to figure if that was indeed the issue. Thats what my liver doc is having done anyways.. :)

I sure hope you get your ah-ha moment here soon too..... :)

Morning all. I don't know how, but by the grace of God, and some wierd technoligy, I am still able to get online.  Our home phones got shut off yesterday, and we have DSL thru them.  Well, there is so much stuff that went on yesterday, I would rather just not talk about it.  Sorry I missed supper last night. I would have much rather been with you all than where I was.  Anyway, enough of that.  This morning, I got on the computer to upload pictures from the field trip on Friday, and saw that I was still able to get online, so I thought I had better post before that got shut off as well.  My cell phones are still on for now, so if anyone needs to reach me, that is the way to.....unless something happens again soon.
Hope everyone has a great day.  Get out and voice your opinion and VOTE!!!  Like Sherri said, it doesn't matter, as long as you vote!
I just ask that you say a special prayer for me.  These next few weeks are going to be really bad, and I have been praying all night, and I really need prayers from everyone.  Thanks and God Bless.

Good morning
Im at work today, not feeling well.  My head feels like it is just about ready to pop off.  I am coughing up gross crap!  I feel a little better then I did last night. I got to feeling so horrible yesterday at work. I went home and made supper, then dozed off and on until it was time to go to bed.
Hopefully, I am feeling a lot better by Thurs. I dont want to start my first day at my new job feeling lousy.
I plan on getting off at 5 today and running to vote, then coming back for an officer's meeting at 7. The board wanted to meet with all the officers for who knows what. I am going cause I want to hear what they have to say. The board still wants me to do the accounts payable and payroll for awhile, so I have some questions I need answered.
Well everyone have a great day and dont forget to vote.  Prayers being sent to all those that need them.

Good Morning Indiana Losers!

Well, I don't have dialysis again this morning!  It is such a blessing.  I was responsible for 100% of my dad's treatments for over a year (6 days a week, five hours a day).  Then this summer one of his buddies had me train him so they could go on fishing trips.  Well, now that buddy is unemployed and is staying at my Dad's house until he can find work.  So, he has really been helping me out.  Like this morning they wanted to go fishing so Dad called and said they would do dialysis later.  OKAY with me!!!!
I had my annual with the OB but OVERSLEPT!  I hate that I missed my appt.  That is so rude.  Not to mention it takes forever to get back in the scheduling loop.  Ah well, who wants to start the day with a Pap?
Yesterday we found out that my husbands work hours are going to change to 6-2(Previously 5am-5pm)  five days a week.  They are only going to give them 40 hrs.  We are use to at least 48 hours and most of the time more.  I know we are so lucky to have his job that I am not too upset but it sucks with this being right before Christmas.  He was upset.  We will make it.  We have been so lucky that we haven't had to feel much of the economic crunch until now.
I want to go vote.  But I don't know where I have to go.  They keep changing them around.  I usually vote absentee.  However, this year I didn't get that done.  SO.....I am going to call uptown and figure out where in the heck I go.  I will also be so glad to have all the crap off of TV.  If I hear anymore political propaganda on TV I am going to scream.
Tonight is the Anderson support group.   I am going to go to that.  I have been bad about going to them.  But tonight I am going!  It might do me some good.

Sherri- I hope everything works out for you.  I'm sorry that the camera thing doesn't look so positive

Linda-I am sorry to hear about your husband.  Prayers go out to you, also.

Lachelle- I am so sorry to hear about your troubles.  Glad you got to post and I will also pray for you.

Okay, have a good day everyone!
