Joe,

Those feelings are normal. We'd wonder about anyone who didn't have them. You are taking a huge step toward having a healthy lifestyle...and healthy body. Change is scary. Surgery is scary. Losing your best friends (food) is scary.

But you know...if you look at my profile, you'd see that I have not had an easy journey, but I can say this with 100% conviction: I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

If you are near Indy, please consider joining us for dinner tonight (see my previous threads about it). It would give you the opportunity to meet some people who know exactly what you are going through.....

Joe,

Good luck with ur surgery...Please try and  keep ur mind focused on the New You.   To inspire my self  when i feel down is to look at the before and afters photos, and dont forget to read what they  have to say.

Joe,

I was scared too but it has turned out to be the best thing I've ever done for myself and my family.  I have my one year post op visit on Thursday and I'll pop in to visit you.  We Southern Indiana Losers need to support each other!  Will you be in St. Vincent in Carmel?

The next few days will be tough.  Try not to dwell on it too much.  Think about all of the positives!

I'm covering you in prayer Joe.

Happy thoughts!

Just know that it will all be fine.   You are gonna love your decision to have surgery in a very short time.  I feel amazing already and I had mine just 4 months ago.  I would do it again for sure!  Life is already so much better.

Congrats and be brave.  You will be an amazing loser real soon!

Good Luck Joe!  I'm sure you'll be fine.  I had my surgery a week and a half ago, and while I can't say it was easy, every day I become more and more thankful that I chose to do this.  I will keep you in my prayers.

Bless You~Jenn

Joe, you'll do fine!  You're going to be on your way to a healthier you that will be around a long time for that little one you're holding in the picture!

You and I have the same doctor.  Dr. E is great.  Just save me a spot on the loser's bench - I'll be joining you next month!

Hey Joe,
It will be here & over before you know it! Just shake off those negative thoughts, and hang in there!!! Like what has been said before- we all have them.BUT, you will find that afterwards, in a few weeks, you are so glad you did walk down that hall & into your new, healthy lifestyle. So many of us will be praying you thru, so know you are going in there with lots of support.Make sure to walk, sip, get your protien in as much as you can and you'll do great!
