Christmas Shopping!?!?
Yikes! Misty's post reminded me that it's time to starting thinking about maybe perhaps trying to sort of start Christmas shopping! It seems like the time from Halloween to Christmas just flies by.
Has anyone started yet? I've picked up a couple of things, but I certainly haven't what you could call "started." I do a lot of online and catalog shopping, but I love the Christmas atmosphere in the malls and department stores, so I don't want to miss that. I've never been to Edinburgh to Christmas shop, do they decorate all the stores? I've only been there once, and it was in the summertime.
My husband and I went to Brown County as part of our wedding trip. We were married in December, so it was just beautiful down there. All of the shops were lit up from the street to the roof, it was awesome! I would also like to try to get to the Christmas Walk at Metamora, I've never been there, either.
I love Christmas!!

Jenny,
I actually started my shopping last January. I had found a 3 piece outfit for my grandson at Burlington's that will fit him perfectly this winter. I bought it and put it back for him. It had cords, a shirt, adn a bomber's jacket...all for $11. I couldnt' pass it up. I've been shopping for my daughter all year. I'm stocking her up on some Pampered Chef.
My hubby & I got a cabin in Nashville, IN for our 2nd anniversary (11/24). We had a wonderful time there. He does not 'shop' but didn't mind at all going into those quaint little places with me.

My problem with shopping early is I put it away somewhere and then forget I bought it! I end up finding it sometime during the next year. I don't know how many CDs my kids have gotten in the spring and summer that were supposed to be Christmas presents! I'll be going through my desk drawers and be like, "Oh! I forgot about that!"
Okay, so I'm a dingbat...

I need to get a big "Christmas box" and put things in it as I buy them. But nooooo...that would make too much sense...
