Has anyone checked out these websites

The nutritionist suggested Fitday.com and Sparkpeople.com as two websites to check out and possibly utilize to track progress.  She suggested that it is a way to get a handle on what to do on a daily basis with protein and exercise and then you can print off your logs and take to meetings with nutritionist.  I have not made a selection but I thought I would ask you guys.  Any suggestions or input?  I can check them out after I get hom from surgery.  Thanks...

I had used Fitday initially but when I discovered SparkPeople, I switched. There is just so much more on it. It not only helps you log your food, exercise, ad drink (fitday doesn't do the drink), but it also educates you on each as well as mental things which affect your weight. There are also teams on there (there's a local Indianapolis one) to help you out. Keep in mind that on the teams though, most has not had WLS. You have a profile page & can blog on it & send emails from it (very similar to MySpace really). You can also set your food, weight, nutritional, exercise goals and track them as well as get suggestions on food & exercises to help you do that. Oh yeah...there's a recipe place in there too. See? Just a wealth on informatin & tools to use!

The only time I use Fitday (I purchased the full version)  anymore is if I make my own recipe and want to figure out the single serving nutritional values (like if I take it to a clothing exchange or something).

LOL, I'm just the opposite. I checked them both out, and thought Sparkpeople.com was more complicated. I have used Fitday.com for two years now. I think it's great. It does let you track your liquids too. I put in how many ounces I've drank of each fluid. I set a personal goal for that too, and it tells me how I'm doing. I like the reports on Fitday, so that I can go back and compare progress.

I don't care for either of those 2 sites. I like FitnessPal.com.

I really like Sparkpeople.  It really has it to where I can figure out portion control and exercise quickly.  Hope you find one that fits your needs the best.
