Thursday Morning!

Good morning Hoosiers! How are you all this morning? I hope well. I was up at 5am, to take out the dog. She was asking, so I had to get up early. Oh well,.. better to get up than to clean up.

Today I have to work at both gigs. So it will be a long day from 8am to 9pm. But today's my last day at Sears this week. I will be off tomorrow night to go to a graduation for one of my customers at VR. Then I will be off all day Saturday to go to Louisville for Mike's tae kwon do competition. That will be nice to have some time off.

I mentioned in a different post, Mike found out he can't take out his money from his old retirement account in a lump sum. He can only take it out over five years. Pout. We were got to use that money to get my tummy and the girls done. Well it won't be happening at this time, unless Dr. Grasee can get the panni approved by Anthem. Then I'll go ahead and get that done. What a disappointment. Oh well, what can you do? It is what it is.

Sunday night we went shopping for Christmas at Kmart. They are the only place I know of that stil does layaway. Plus I can get my Sears discount there. So, Mike and I picked out the things we're getting for the kids and put them in layaway. I think they'll like what we're getting them. We already told the rest of the family we're just getting for the kids this year, because it's a tight year. They understood.

Good morning everyone!

Whew! I spent the day yesterday packing! I think it's alot bigger chore to pack up half a lab than it was to pack up a whole house! I got several large boxes packed...and they are sitting where I filled them since lifting is a no-no for me. I hope to get several more done before the week is up. Oh..I'm coming in tomorrow to pack. Saturday (and maybe Sunday too) I'm coming to work so I can re-arrange what is in the other lab's drawers...and get some organization & neatness out of them. Our group is kinda anal about 'a place for everything and everything in it's place'. The group were joining is more into ONLY 'a place for everything'...which is anyplace it ends up at. I'd rather get things neatened up without them looking over my shoulder constantly..you know? I think I was able to get several things done or at least arranged that was on Brian's list (my boss).

We went and saw Jean (my mil) last night. They had gotten her up to sit for awhile but not walk yet. I think the physical therapist wants to build the strength in her legs some first. She's suppose to get moved into Hooks rehab today. She was dreading yet another move but at least this one, hopefully, will be for the duration of her stay (~2 weeks). We were going to take her BF Bob to dinner at Lincoln Square. When the check came though he wouldn't let us pay it. He's such a sweetie. We wanted to get him away from the hospital some. Today is his 83rd birthday. I told Jean that she couldn't trade him in for a younger model...she said that HE couldn't either! LOL!

Well...Everywhere I look I see empty or packed boxes so I better get busy! You all have a good day. I have to leave work ~1:45. I have my nut & Dr. Gupta appointment this afternoon. It's for my 4 yr (which was in Sept.) but also a follow-up for the openings in my stomach. I'm a little anxious to learn how my blood tests were this round since my thyroid doesn't seem to be getting the full asorbtion from the synthroid. I WISH I had something to tell Dr. Gupta from the GI other than 'my file is opened up on his desk so he's still considering what to do next'...that's all I get from his nurse.

Good morning all.  Today is Back-to-Work day for me.  Oh well, at least I had a wonderful 3 days off.  My birthday was great, because I was alive to enjoy it! I must say I have felt so great the past few weeks, it really is a wonderful feeling! I just wish everyone could experience the same!

I have uploaded the pictures from Maria's housefire.  I had to post them on my MySpace page, so if anyone is interested, please feel free to check them out.

I work 11-9 today as a floor supervisor.  Woo Hoo! Extra $$$ for today! Certainly need it now.  Jimmy is no longer employed at Sonic........his boss decided to cut his hours to 10 hours a WEEK!!!  There was a "power struggle" over Jimmy, because the store's owner actually saw that Jimmy was working, and the other manager wasn't.  So he (the other manager) set out to make Jimmy out as the bad guy, and make his life miserable.  Jimmy had enough, and told them where to shove it!  He will not work for someone that is a liar and a theif!  Apparently the other manager has been taking from the till, and making it up from the car-hops pouches!  Talk about mad!  If I EVER see this person again, it will be so hard for me to raise bail, thats for sure! LOL
Oh well, enough about that.  We will make it one day at a time! We have gone thru rough times before, and will make it this time too.  Just pray for us, because I am sure Jimmy will fall into his state of depression again.  It is a never-ending battle and a viscious cycle.  We will survive!

I am sitting her at work drinking my morning coffee.  I took the day off tomorrow and also Monday to spend with my kids since they are off for fall break.  That should be nice. So I only have 7 more days here at EMS plus what is left of today.

Linda I saw a commercial last night about Kmart's layaway. I normally dont like Kmart but I need layaway to so I will probably have to go there.  I am in the same boat as you.  I think we are going to do family picture and give to all the adults and just buy for the kids.  With my job transition until I get my commission check established its going to be really tight.  We will make it, you always find a way. 

Sherri-Glad to hear your MIL is doing well.  I wished you had some news to give to Dr. Gupta. Maybe she can call and light a fire under their butt and get the info for you. 

Well everyone have a great day. I wont probably be on tomorrow since I will be home & running around.

Good Morning.....

I am up and got the kids of for school....OMG...is it COLD!!!!!  I even drug out the kids new winter coats so they could bundle up.  My electric mattress pad is calling my name, but I have to much to do today!!!!!
I so need to get my cross stitch going.....also have 6 blankets, and 5 bags to make and embroider.  We have a nephew due anyday....and I am waiting for him to arrive so I can do all sewing at once.
Today is a day of many things around the house, but I will be staying warm!!!!!
Tomorrow I am off to Kokomo to do some shopping with a friend.  But not before I get my curves workout in for the day.....Saturday will be curves again and then getting my nails done.  Then off to BW3's for a birthday bash.....

Happy COLD Morning to all!

The heat got turned on last night finally.  I was actually comfortable this morning getting ready for work.  Have a full weekend planned.  Tomorrow have to get the church bulletin done for Sunday, meeting some ladies for lunch, Saturday babysitting, and after church on Sunday need to get in to IU to see my SIL.  I wish the doctors could get her well enough to go back to the nursing home in Monticello.  She would be 5 minutes from her family instead of the long drive for my brother and his girls.  We all worry about him being on the road with as bad as his ALS has gotten.

I think I may have to get over to KMart too to use the layaway program.  The holidays are rapidly approaching.  Santa will not be as generous this year as in years past.  But I think that is true of most households.   I've put in for several jobs trying to get a promotion to have a little more money, but so far no luck.   I know I'm where God wants me so that's okay too. 

Sherri, so glad your MIL is doing okay.  How's Bill doing?.  Good luck with your appointment today, don't overdo on the moving.

Good Morning,
I am going to try to finish up some cards today,that is if I can sit long enough. Tomorrow will be my 2 year anniversary of my surgery,wow do I remember all the feelings I went though the day before. Sometime, it feels like a life time ago and sometimes like yesterday. I had many bumps in my journey,but would so do it again.
Its hard to believe Christmas is just 2 months away,I haven't thought of anything, I guess I  need to start thinking.

Neil put our fire place insert in and it works really good but i dont like going to bed with it on(lost everything in a fire once)..So tonight ill go get furnace filters..

Has anyone heard from MIsty...

Good morning everyone. I know I'm new, but thought I'd get involved in this conversation so you could all get to know me a bit more. I read everyone's posts, sounds like you all have a busy few days! My oldest son only has 1/2 day school today and no school tomorrow for fall break, so I thought I'd take him and my younger son out to lunch after school. Tonight, my sister is coming over to watch the boys for the evening so that Gary and I can go to dinner and a movie (tomorrow is our 10th anniversary).

I work every Fri and Sat nights, so that means I get to work my anniversary. But at least we are going out tonight. I want to go see Fireproof, anyone seen it? I will sleep all day Saturday and then Sunday, I think we want to take the boys to ZooBoo. That's about it in a nutshell.

Hi Melissa, glad you could join us.  I did see Fireproof along with my son and DIL.  It was a great movie for couples.  I could tell it got my kids thinking about their relationship and how to improve their marriage.  I highly recommend it.  I bet your boys will love ZooBoo.  Happy Anniversary to your and your DH, enjoy your night out.
