I am suppose to have a  surgery to repair  a rectocele,  this is something that could of gotten all messed up when I had so many complication from they hysterectomy.     So please keep me in your prayers,  I was told this is very painful and slow healing time, and could in fail.    Well any way to make the story even better.  I was thinking about getting a breast job done, but when I found out with weight loss and age my ladies are hanging to low and I would also have to have a lift  so a plain of only costing me  $4700. now has went to  $6800. .   I was really hoping to do the lift and implants when I was off the rectocele  surgery, I have to be off for 6-8 weeks.     So I am not doing the breast , at least not this year.  I going to have  a second surgery on Nov 20th on my wrist while I am off.    So officially my last day at my job will be this Friday tell 2009.  So please keep me in your thoughts,  I have put this off for 2 years as it was to be fixed then but I just could afford it.  But with my company laying off and so many other places let people go I felt I really needed to do this before I don't have insurance.  So once I am up and able to sit I will be on here alot posting.   I can't say I don't check things out on here because I try to check up on things about once a week but I don't usually post.  Seeing every one's post helps me and has always kept in informed about my friends and wls family.

Lisa,
I will be thinking of you during your time in surgery and after. I hope you will be able to get to the support group meetings in Frankfort while off work. If you need a ride let me know, okay! I know that you have been coming with Lois but if she can't come and you want to let me know.
You know those implants aren't always safe!? Well of course it is your decision and what ever you want to pay for is up to you.
Do you have carpal tunnel? If so good luck with that also! I will be praying for you! What is the date of the surgery and is it a St. Vincents Carmel? Also who is your surgeon on both of the surgeries you are having? Lots of Luck! Michelle

Hey lady, Sorry about the disappointment over your breast work. I thought I was going to be able to get that done too, and then we found out the account my hubby was going to take it out of, won't let you do a lump sum withdrawal. Bummer. So I'm in your boat. Not this year. You'll be in my thoughts for the surgery, though.

It is great hearing from you but a BIT@# hearing you are going thru some painful surgury.. I DO remember how bad they hysterectmy affected you and how you had a devil of a time healing!!! Prayfully YOu wont have the "other" problem you had during those surgeries.. hoping your son is doing well after 2 more years of growing up...

Lisa,

Good luck with your surgery.

Who did you check with for your Breast list/implants? You might want to check with Dr. Bergman. I think it'd be closer to $5500...at least with the Saliene implants. That's the ones I plan to get eventually since if they were to break down, the saliene would just be absorbed by your body. That sounded better to me than having something that your body can't absorb (silicone). Chase offers a credit card for medical purposes only. It's at no interest if you pay it off within 12 months (so you HAVE to pay at least 1/12th of what you owe each month or they will charge you interest from the 1st month on). With having the time to do it now, if you could afford the payments on the $1-2,000 you'd have to put on it, you  might want to consider doing that. You can apply for that online or at Dr. Bergman's office. I first used Chase when I got my lasik done and then again last year for my plastics.

Thanks everyone,  Right as of today, I am going to hold off on the  implants,  They just laid off another 40 people at my job, That took them to everyone as far back at Aug of 2005.  Kind of make me a little worried about  being off for this surgery, but I know at least I am getting this done while I still have my insurance.  As far the the hospital and Doctor it is at St. Vincents on 86 and done by Dr Kathryn Copeland.  The other doctor is with the Hand Surgery Center by 86 street.  I will check into Dr, Bergam, when I  know I am safe with my job.   I did call her and they were going to send out a packit the office Turkle and Associates.  Where a little more then I can swing.  Thanks all.

Lisa,

Turkles was way more than I wanted to spend too.

I wanted to correct what I said yesterday. It wasn't Chase (wrong billl!) who had the medical credit card. It was GE. You can read more about it at CareCredit.com. Shoot...you can even use it at a vet! LOL! Once you have it, it's good for any medical expence for any family member..including your pets!

Best of luck with all the medical stuff. Where do you work that you are waiting to see if they lay you off? Are they talking severence, retraining assistance, or anything?

Lisa:

Love you like a sis!  Let me know if you need a ride home.  Kathy at work will be off for vacation that week, but I can get you after work!  I know you said they did that one other time for you.  I'll also bring over some casseroles for you and your family so you won't have to cook.

I'm keeping you in my prayers.  I'm here for you.......you know my number!

Blessings,

Lois
