ihn insurance?

a friend looking into haveing surgery anyone have any extras to help get her started?

she was hoping to find surg. that accept this insurance and any info you can give her about anything she would love to hear. i had the same ins but was denied before getting my approval just wonder if things may have changed in over the last few years? i gave her the phone number for st vin. i know at the time i was looking @ st vin it was not in my network i had to go to wishard. my mom had dr inman an i really loved her i had dr gomez and was not to happy with his after surg care so she was hoping to find info out on where the i h n insurance might cover i know there was a link on this web site where you can put in your ins and they tell you who and hows other with the same ins have had to do to get approvial but i can not find it
but in all any info would be great im so far out of the loop now that im post op  that i kinda forgot how to get the ball rollin with all of this.

Darcie I know nothing about the kind of insurance she has so I can't be of any help there. I do know that St. V's has a great support system. They have support groups all over the state and have great support at the hospital. The after surgery care is really good also. I had Dr. Jones and liked her but my DH wasn't too impressed said right after the surgery she never came out to let him know how things went. But she has a good track record. Getting in to see her after the surgery for check up is usually a long office visit because she only see patients on Tuesday and there is a long wait.
 The nursing staff at the hospital there is second to none. They are so knowledgable and caring. 
 Also I don't remember ever seeing where you can put in the insurance and they tell anything about who is on what insurance. Usually you do that on the insurance web site. As far as change it has change in insurances because the Medicare/Medicaid has changed their policies. Just have her check with the insurance IHN and see what they require. Darcie,  I checked out the indiana health network website.  Dr. Gupta is listed on there was a provider .  Your friend needs to call her insurance and ask them if they pay for the surgery.  Unfortunately, the IHN website didn't show a guideline for the bariatric surgery the way my Cigna website did...made my job a lot easier.
