Third Scope
Let hope that third time is a charm. I have to have another scope this Thursday. Dr. C could not get me in so its with Dr. Gupta. I have heard good things about her on the board so I am pretty comfortable with that.
The first time I was at 8 MM so they dialated me to 12-15 mm that was 9-30, then I went back two weeks later, and I was back to 8 MM again. UGH
What happens if the third time does not work. I am really over this!!!!!!

Actually, the third time was the charm for me! I also had to have 3 scopes myself before things finally worked. Don't give up, eventually everything will get healed. I know when I was having problems it felt like it was never going to get better but it does! I'm almost 2 years out and no problems! It just takes time.

KIM I had it done twice and it worked for me. I had Dr. Gupta and she did a wonderful job so don't worry! Also have you been drinking any hot drinks? You might try that before your meals and at other times. I heard that would help so I tried drinking hot decaf tea and some swiss miss. SO far I have only had to have 2! Good Luck on Thursday! Kim,
Don't worry, for repeat closers, they do have a few tricks up their sleeves that they can try. For the majority of the 20% of post-ops who have to have scopes due to strictures, 2-3 times usually does the trick. Be patient with your body if it takes more than that. I was of the minority of that 20%. I had 15 scopes with the smallest stricters being only 1 mm x 4 mm...and one being 2 mm round. I've now gone 3 years without a scope due to strictures (one this summer to check out my upper intestines). Sometimes our body just needs to be pampered more...
Dr. Gupta did the majority of my scopes..I think Dr. Cacucci did 2 of them. I think both of these ladies are wonderful! They also tag-teemed all my intestine stuff last fall so I do literally owe my life to them.
