I had my RNY almost 2 years ago. I have lost about 150 pounds. I didn't have as much as you to lose, but I guess I would pass on, don't try to take on the whole process or concept at once. Just take it one day and one pound at a time. Do what you're supposed to do, follow the doctor's and dieticians orders. We'll all be rooting for you to get to the place on the scale that makes you happy and healthy.

I have lost 140 lbs in 11 months.  You will be surprised at how fast the lbs comes off.  You just sit back and eat like your suppose to and do what the dr's and nuts tell you and the weight will just come off.  You will be like WOW I have lost this much already.  Good luck to you on your journey. It is exciting!

I am one of the people who need to lose 200#  plus....It is a long stretch...but you know I feel like I am making progress! I have just passed my first goal of losing 50# and am on my way to the 75# mark! I have to do it in increments so that I do not feel so overwhelmed. It is just what works for me....you are not alone!

greetings junebugg

i see you're a patient of dr. huse -- me too! he did my RNY 3+ years ago -- when i weighed 463 lbs. today i weigh 169 -- i'm tall - 5'10" -- so that puts me in the "normal" range on the bmi chart. normal -- not something i thought i'd ever see. i won't tell you it has been an easy process, but it's possible -- and well worth the effort. life is very different at this weight - very good!

you can do it!
