Yes, we will be there.  We will be camping Wed and Thurs night at Turkey Run.  It will be our first time there. Any suggestions on what to see or do there.  Looks like a lot to see and do in the area.

Andy and I are going Tue and Wed.   I was just going to post for some suggestions on things for me to take to snack on so I dont get carried away on junk.  I bought some italian meats and cheeses to put in my longaberger picnic basket along with some sundried tomato olive oil, olives and bread.  I still need some more ideas.  Its also our anniversery this month so I wanted to make it special so I bought some really nice fall table cloth and dishes to use that have leaves all over them.  Very festive!!!

ps I dont like bananas or raw celery or carrots so that idea is out of the question and Andy is allergic to apples.....  I think thats all the limitations we have....

When I lived in Clinton, we use to spend a Saturday going up Old 41 to Terre Haute & back hitting up yard sales. Since living here in Indy, Bill & I usually go to Mansfield. There are alot of flea markets there. All of Parke county though is pretty much flea markets right now. It really all depends on what you enjoy. Montezuma always has a hog roast. Rosedale focusses alot on crafts..and popcorn. Rockville has a good mix I think with a good focus on the Covered Bridges. There use to be (and propably still is) wagon ride tours of some of them. I think there are also rides out to Billie Creek Village.

This should help you decide on where to go:

Bill & I aren't going this year. His vision & my tummy just aren't up to it this time around. You all have a good time who are going though!

ps...Pamela..I think I'd throw some dried turkey pepperoni in your picnic basket to add some meat. Also, some sf strawberry butter would be good on the bread (made like apple butter...I got several sf varieties from a little place near Holiday World when we went there in June. I bet you could find some at the CBF).

I am going to the Covered Bridge.  My husband and I go to a LOT of festivals this time of the year.  We were REALLY disappointed in Shipshewana.  It is not big enough.  We are use to BIG festivals.  We planned two days up there and we were finished in like 6 hours.  BOO!  Their fall crafters festival is NOTHING!  They had like maybe 30 vendors and 6 or 7 of them were selling the same thing.  I have never seen so much HONEY!
We will be heading up on Friday morning and staying for Saturday.  We go to Bridgeton and Mansfield.

The festivals are getting kinda bad the last couple of years.  There is a lot of CRAP instead of homemade crafts and whatnot, which is what we like.  I don't need to buy socks/bras by the dozen or knock off sunglasses!  I hope Covered Bridge is good this year!
