I'm Almost Ready To Shake Some Things Up !!
Connie, I know the TJ Maxx downtown Indy on the corner of Market and Illinois, and on the southside off of 31 before the Greenwood Mall going south on 31. I hear there is a great TJ Maxx in Castleton that is the largest and has home decor furniture too! I love shopping at TJ's but it can get me in torouble at lunch ! lol

Marianne,
Wow! Your TJ Maxx has better flavors than mine! I want the Vanilla Macadamia Nut and Irish Cream! Yummo!
I have been doing Shanna's shakes for two weeks now and love them. I just use my blender and it does a great job. I start with about 8ozs of skim milk then add my ingredients. Usually put about 6-8 ice cubes in it and it froths up nicely. I like to throw in some fresh fruit too. It's really the only fruit I'm getting in. I had some unflavored protein powder so that's what I'm using until it runs out. I'm nearly finished. I flavor it up with some sf/ff pudding flavors. Like last night I did a variation of Shanna's Wish I was in Hawaii shake. I put 8 oz milk, 6-8 ice cubes, a scoop of protein powder, 2 tbs of vanilla pudding mix, a whole banana (cut up), a splash of pineapple syrup and a splash of imitation coconut flavoring. Blended it up and it was so smooth and delicious!
My favorite right now is my blueberry cheesecake smoothie though. It just has blueberry syrup, caramel syrup and white cheesecake pudding mix along with the milk, powder and ice. Mmmmm...
Have fun with this! My daughter and hubby have started having a shake each night with me. They just don't add the protein to theirs. We've put it in our nighttime routine. Mix the shakes, play a game, brush teeth, read a book, put daughter to bed!
Shanna has really saved me with these shakes. It makes getting the protein in so easy.
Have a wonderful, blessed weekend!

Thanks Jacqui for sharing your method. I am anxious to try them this weekend! I taste tested some of the syrups last night and they were AWESOME! I am afraid I could become addicted to these! lol I have been eating the pure protein bars for so long and think this will help me add more fluids in my day.

Just an FYI...Target has the protein powder for 12.89 and Sam's carries the syrups in the sugar free and they are the big bottles! If you belong to Sams you might want to check them out.
Thank you for this post. I have not been able to find a good recipe for protein powder and I got tired of just mixing it with water or milk and drinking it. I can't get past the chalky texture. Now that I am 3 months out, I am having some trouble with tempting food and eating it. I need to rev up my metabolism because I have been on a 2 week stall and I don't think I should be stalling this early out. I've only lost 43 lbs in 12 weeks and I see where some on here have lost much more. Don't get me wrong, I do want to lose slowly but since i can now stomach some other foods I don't want to get dependant on going back to those and I am SCARED!!! I think the shakes will help alot. I am planning to go to Wal-Mart on my lunch hour for syrups and protein powder. Thanks!!
