Pray Please.....
All my Oh Family,
I just got off the phone and Debbie passed away this evening. They did the ECG and no brain function was found. The family met and said their goodbye's and turned off the life support. She passed away within the next few minutes. Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers.
Love, Holly

Holly,
I have just been so stunned every since reading this this morning. I had commented on the Saturday thread how there needs to be a support group for families of WLS post-ops who pass away. I was telling Bill (my hubby) about all of this. He said that at St. Vincent's, the chaplin is excellent at helping families try to deal with what their loved one is going through. He not only talked with Bill & my kids and prayed for me with them, but when Tiffany wasn't there with Bill, he would help Bill manuever in the hospital (Bill is VERY visually impaired..about as close to totally blind as you can get and yet still be able to see a tiny bit..in one eye..nothing in the other one).
While I was in the coma, there was another woman who was also in a coma for similar reasons. Her family were regulars in the chapel...praying for their wife/mother/sister. She didn't make it. Her family did not stop their prayer time in the chapel when she died. They continued to come to the hospital's chapel and was praying for me instead. Between the chaplin and that woman's family, my husband, daughter, and son recieved such loving support. It was really the first time I've heard Bill share this. I had heard some of it from Tiffany...but not Bill. If it hadn't been for me telling him about Debbie's death, I probably still wouldn't have heard any of this. You know how some men can be.
It is good to know that had I not made it, they would have recieved help in dealing with my death. I know many of you would have also been there for them and that adds to my peace of mind when dealing with what ever comes up. I do love you all so very much. I only wish that Debbie had been able to meet you all.
