Wshed I'd known about hot liquids & protein powder!
Just wanted to post something, I wish I had known how easy it was to get protein powders down with hot liquids. I started putting 1 to 2 scoops with about 4-6oz. of milk and mixed that up, then added another 8oz or so (to fill up my tall coffee mug) of either suger=free hot cocoa or decaf coffee. The milk/protein makes it creamy and very tastey. I can now get down at least 75 - 80 grams of protein just in my drinks.
I know one thing that works for one doesn't always work for everyone but maybe this might help someone.
Thanks for listening

Angel,
You're right. All of our taste buds are so varied! I have to have my drinks either very cold or very hot. I'm not a fan of luke-warm at all. My sister however could only handle hot drinks post-op. But then again..my hubby who is NOT a post-op can drink water at room temp (yuk!).
I'm glad you found a way that works with your taste buds. That seems to be the hardest accomplishment of us post-ops. And thank you so much for sharing it with others! I'll bet you that there is at least one pre-op *****ads this thread and thinks 'hmmmm, I'm gonna have to remember this hint!'.
