I just joined this site and thought I would stop by and say hello. I am scheduled for bypass on Wednesday October 1st......3 days!!!!!!! Crazy to think that this day is here.

I live in South Bend and would love to have friends and additional support in this area.

Hi Laura, welcome! Your surgery date is coming up really soon. I am sure you are excited! I had surgery in Dec 2006. I have lost 186 pounds to date. Where will your surgery be? I see you are scheduled for a RNY right? You will do great! Congrats on taking this step to a healthier you! Karen
