Just an update

I am so tickled this morning. As anyone knows, I was one of the lucky ones who's band flipped and had to go back in to surgery and get it resewn after they flipped it back to where it belonged! I also found out that the tubing had kinked so I had nothing in the band itself to aid me in my loss. I had the revision done in June 3 and then had a fill in July and one again in August. As of Aug I had 4cc in my band and no loss yet. I just went to see my Dr this past week and had one more cc added. I had a loss of 10 pounds! I was so happy! He was as excited as I was!  This am I got on the scale again...I only weigh on Sunday mornings...and guess what.....another 6 pounds gone! I am so excited...happy...etc......I want to jump up and down and scream for joy, but eveyone here is still asleep!  I was starting to give up hope but kep****ching and journaling my food intake and exercise and it has finally paid off!  My Dr advised that my new start date needed to be the June3 date...so as of that date.....I have lost 16 pounds with my band! I have a little restriction since this last fill...so may skip next months at this rate. Just wanted to share my joy!

Huge congrats, LeeAnn!!  You're really working your band, and it's finally starting to work for you, too.  Can you feel some restriction now?  How big is your band?  Keep up the great job!

I have had 3.5 cc in my 4cc band since March and have good restriction ... it still amazes me how I can feel full after just a little food.  But it took a few months to really understand what it felt like to be full.  It's so different from the full that we had before surgery. 

Definitely some restriction! I have a 14cc band with 5cc in it now! I am soooo relieved its working!
