Yep, Surgery AGAIN....

Welp, I was pretty sure that is where I was headed and now the doc has confirmed it! I will be rehaving another eye surgery on October 23rd! This time he will be doing the inner eye on both eyes on the muscles and nerves! The last time in June we did the outer eye! Hopefully I will have some better luck with this! He still says IF not we can go back to the original state of the eyes prior to any surgery BUT that he has NEVER had to do this! He also says I am a very rare case and very hard to diagnose because of my premature retinopathy that the retnas in the back part of the eye had not formed correctly! He says that even though he has straightened my eyes tremendously that my brain still believes that my eyes are VERY crossed thus leaving me seeing a total confusion! Thus needing to close one eye and troubles with the driving! I am hoping for some better results! Please keep your fingers crossed!

I am hoping to be at the next clothing exchange and get to see some of you again and some for the 1st time!

Hope all is going well for your journies!

Hugz and prayers to those in need!

Thanks for the prayers! I am hoping for better results and some uplifted spirits! It has been tough, although I know that it COULD be worse and that others DO have it worse! I just keep wishing that I hadn't done it in the first place and playing the "what if" games in the back of my mind! Too late for all of that- so I must hope for better luck next time and put all of my trust in this surgeon, just like I did my bariatrics surgeon, and hope that he indeed knows best! They keep telling me he is the best at what he does! Lets just hope I am not THAT complicated! I have been down in the dumps and letting myself get off track and have made some bad choices, BUT I must move ahead and not let this or anything for that fact get the best of me!

I hope that you are feeling better soon and am sending you gentle hugs and lots of prayers that you are comfortable and not too badly bruised, at least for long!

Love ya, miss ya- hope to see ya soon! Hugz Dawn

Dawn,

Let me know if you'd like for me to pick you up for the clothing exchange. There's no sence you worry about being a safe driver with me going anyway! With Bill's vision being so bad right now, he isn't willingly going anywhere out in public so I doubt he will want to keep me company so I'd appreciate not going alone.

Who is your eye surgeon?

We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. We know how scary eye surgeries can be....

Sherri,

I would love to ride with you! I thought I had read somewhere a little bit ago that you didn't think you were going??!!?? Anyway, glad that you are and yes I would love to see ya and go with ya!
My surgeon is Dr. Plager with Midwest Eye Institute out off of 103rd and Meridian on Pennsylvania! Tell Bill hello for me, I know how uncomfortable I am at times and walking around squinting and such, especially at night time! It stinks, but I can relate and know that I have not allowed myself to enjoy some things that I wish that I would have! It makes you very depressed, as I am sure both you and he can atest to that!

I hope that you are doing some better and are going to be hearing some results with your new doc, any word yet when the next round of tests will be?

Hope you all had fun yesterday at the orchard and rummaging and dinner too! We had a progressive dinner yesterday with the church and our house was one of the stops! We did stop 2 for salads here, we had never done/heard of a progressive dinner, but we had fun and it was nice!

Well gotta get some things ready for tomorrow and fix some lunch before Mark is off to work! Talk to ya soon! Hugz Dawn

Dawn,

Midwest is a good place. Bill use to see Dr. Troyer there but we had problems with MPlan covering it so we switched. Now that Anthem would cover anywhere, Bill's with Dr. Price (he's one of the  leading surgeon for cornea issues in the US).

I have my next test on Oct. 10th. Early the following week, we'll know those results and will find out if it's another test or surgery or ??? I haven't heard anything back yet from all that was turned in/drawn last Monday.

I had debated on if I felt up to driving to the exchange or not but since I did fine yesterday, I'm not concerned about that at all now. I feel more comfortable knowing how my meds are going to affect me so that's added to me feeling better about being out & about.
