st v's christmas party ?

when do they usually announce the date? roughly, when is it usually? i like to plan WAY ahead

It's usually the first Tuesday in December...and you usually get your invites early November.

i was thinking about that today too. they mentioned it in our nut class... has everyone gone before? how is it?!?!?!?

Yes, Yes, and Yes. I've seen people there in anything from nice jeans to formal-wear and everything in-between. I usually wear nice slacks myself..but then, I haven't been in the best physical shape for the last few years. Last year I had a soccer-ball sized hernia and the year before I was in a walking cast...so I went comfortable!

There's munchies there...fruit, veggies, crackers, coffee/tea, crystal light. There's a few speeches. And then there's dancing with a DJ. The first year I went (2004) there was a trio playing music...violin, harp and cello I think. Every year after that there's been a DJ...which I think is alot better. It encourages people to get up and exercise with dancing.

There are several large round tables and yep...we usually try to find each other there..lol! I definately think it's a worth-while thing to go to.

Oh...most of the bariatric surgeons, dieticians,  and several bariatric nurses are usually there too.
