psych eval with dr stote
HI--just wondering if you can fill me in on what to expect with our psych eval with Dr Stote?
Will there be the big psych questionairre and drawing the pictures to find out what's in your head?
I think I dread the psych eval more than anything other than waiting for insurance approval.
Thanks, Terry

I didn't go to stokes...but all my evaluation was... talk session...and then took that big 'ol test...no right or wrong answers...just your opinion. took about 3 hours.
Good luck with the approval. I had Doc Huse also...he is the best! I am one year post op tomorrow and I have had NO problems!
hugggggggs

Lord, keep me in your will so I won't be in your way.
"His eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me..."
Mine went like this:
He is asked me a series of questions about my life (home, work, family)
Then based on my answers, he dug deeper into some of the questions & the answers I provided. Now I will be the first to admit, one thing I did not want to talk about because it have/had nothing to do with the surgery or my weight and I tried my best to explained this to him in the way I think did not come off as defensive or evasive.
Lastly, he gave his recommendation & what he required that I do before surgery (attend the lifestyle class & support group meetings.)
Drawing pictures might had been more fun though
You will be fine! Just have something to read/distract you in case he is running behind in his appointments.
