need a new Dr.

Hello, i'm trying to get surgery done for the second time. The first time was in 2002, but was denied 3 times by great west ins. We now have United...so i HOPE they are alot better. But, my GP isn't very supportive of the surgery and he's also AWFUL about getting paperwork into the INS. company. So i'm looking for a new Dr. that is supportive of the surgery and isn't "too busy" to get the paper work done! My husband works for Clarion healthcare so i would like to get a Dr in Lafayette or Carmel. We are in clinton county so anyone around that area would be great! If you have any info please pass it along! THANKS!

Hi! You could try my new doctor and he is in Carmel. His name is Dr. John T. Nonweiler. He wasn't my PCP when I had the surgery but he is close to St. V's In Carmel, and taking new patients. Here is his phone number 317-582-8900. He doesn't seem to busy and he has really different hours. Kind of geared towards the working people. My PCP when having the surgery is on 421/Michigan road and is was very understand but they are getting to busy now that they are in a big fancy new building that says St. Vincents on it in very BIG LETTERS! Good luck in finding a new dr.  I had UHC, and was approved the first time.  It took now long at all either to get everything underway!  Good luck with it as well.

I've heard good things about both Dr. O'Nan and Dr. Nonweiler, but they are both part of the St. Vincent network.  If your husband's insurance is through Clarian, you might be required to see a Clarian PCP ... you might want to make sure.  If you are, then call Clarian and ask for a reserral to a PCP that's close to you.
