I am eager to get to know everyone. I live in Cumberland. Dr. Gupta is my surgeon at St. V's.

 Welcome Gram...I do not live very far from you...I live in Wanamaker, just a few miles south of you. I had Dr. Jones , but Gupta is the one I saw over the weekend of my surg, since I had surg on a Friday. I liked her too.  This is a very supportive group and feel free to ask any questions.  I saw where ST. Vs is going to be starting a support group in greenfield soon and that is a lot closer for both of us. When is your surg. date????

Well the gal that was gonna' do the Greenfield one is gonna' do it now so Linda is looking for someone else.

I was suppose to have surgery on the 29th but one of my blood test was a baddy. I have very low blood. So I retook it and and Dr. Gupta gave me a coloscopy and EGD and showed no bleeding. The we had to go to a Hematologist and I had to *donate* 7 more viles of blood. That make about 20 now. No wonder I am low. LOL I go back on the 1st. I am praying soooo hard that they find something here, if not then it is a bone marrow test. :o( If they find something here then it will be 12 weeks until surgery. GRRR

Welcome Gram!  You will find this is a great group!  We are full of support and information.  No question is too silly.  When is your surgery scheduled?  I am not too sure where Cumberland is (I live just south of Fort Wayne), but there will be a clothing exchange held on Oct. 4 (Sat) which would give you a chance to get to meet several of us in person.  It is always a fun time.  Scroll through previous messages and get the info.  It was just recently posted again.  You do not have to have had your surgery yet to come and get to know us.  Karen

She is a dear. I had to have an EGD and colonoscopy done and being she is my surgeon, she did it.

You had a heck of a time as well.
