ok, so i first went to see dr jones in aug 07. i got denied by my insurance bc they wanted to see 18 months supervised dr supervision. i knew the law had changed and tried that but they kept pulling me along. i jumped thru all the hoops and on sept 4 08, i got my letter that i was finally approved!!! last thursday dr jones office called me with a date. OCTOBER 3!!! that was 3 weeks! i can not believe it. i am excited, happy, but nervous, anxious, sad, all kinds of emotions.
my dad had the surgery 2 or 3 years ago, and he had complications at the beginning, but has lost around 180lbs. he supports me, as well as the rest of my family. i have a wonderful husband and the best baby girl in the world. she is 16 months old, and i am so happy that i will be able to do more with her as she gets older. she wont have to have the fat mom and be embarrassed of me! i am a little nervous about not being able to pick her up for a while. but she is climbing everywhere so i imagine she will find her a way to get "uppy!!"
i am looking for people to talk to, bc i like to know that i am not the only one going thru or that has been thru this! i am excited to be able to start a new life, and i thank God everyday for all the things he has blessed me with!!!

ps is anyone having surgery around the same date?? or does anyone go to the support groups in bloomington indiana? i think that will be the one that will be easiest for me to go to.
