Are there many of you that have had Dr Huse?  Husband picked him due to him being there the longest and etc.  and we will be using the same Dr.  Just wondering how everyone likes him and thinks of him.  Thanks, Terry

Hi Terry,...

I had Dr. Huse to repair my perforated ulcer in 7/08. I found him to be a good surgeon, and have a friendly bedside manner. He was kind enough to ruin his fourth of July weekend to do emergency surgery on me! I would trust him. Well, heck, I did!

I had Dr. Huse and I love him! He and his staff are wonderful! I did alot of research and he had the longest and best track record in the field. He was one of the pioneers who got this all started and I have had no problems what so ever from my surgery. If I ever have a question his staff gets right back with me and I couldn't be more pleased. He has a gentle spirit and is very humorous so that was an added plus.
Best of everything on your choice and looking forward to seeing you on the losing side!
Hugs!
Marianne

Thanks so much to all of you for your remarks about Dr Huse.  It is nice to hear from others who have had this done by him.  We have our meeting with him next week.  I know everyone is different and a lot has to do with insurance but how long does it usually take after the first meeting till the surgery time?    Terry

I also had Dr. Huse. I found him to be very knowledgeable. At times I think his only drawback is I felt like I had to drag information out of him. If I asked a question then he went on and became quite informative but I had to ask the questions to get him started otherwise I think he thought you already knew and did not offer the information. I just love Fran the office person. She if very personable. I had my initial consultation in November 2006 and had my surgery July 13, 2007. I had insurance issues to work through. I had what I thought was a secondary that ended up being primary and they were being a real pain. I finally got so frustrated with Nicole (his nurse at the time) that I told her to just tell that insurance company to deny me because my secondary that I thought was my primary had already approved me. In the end that insurance company did deny me but not until they got me all worked up and Nicole told me to start over at square one, which I didn't have to do.
