Welcome you two! Wow, both having surgery the same day? That really is "You jump, I jump". The time will go quicker than you are thinking it will, and next thing you know, you'll be on the loser's bench! Good to meet you.

Hi Connie & Joe!

Welcome to our little piece of OH. Dr. Cacucci is definitely tops! She & Dr. Gupta both are high rankers in my book. St. V's is pretty terrific too. I always feel so spoiled when I'm a patient there...especially on the bariatric wing!

We have several get togethers through-out the year that you both are welcome to join us for. The next one will be a clothing exchange on Oct. 4th. You're welcome to come & meet some of us! We do have another couple here on the board (Brenda & Floyd) who both had WLS. I do believe the hubby of another post-op just recently had surgery as well. Anyway, it'd be great if you both could make it. Jus****ch the board for other opportunities to get together with people.

If you have any questions, concerns, etc, don't hesitate to ask them. We are also an opinionated bunch...lol.

Yes this will be an experience for the two of us. Seems like I am the one always having surgery so leaning on each other will be a new experience.


The clothes exchange sounds fun. Send me more info.
I am tall and wear 20-22's and could probably contribute to the cause now as I am starting to clear out things that I have not worn this summer and hopefully CANNOT wear next summer.

I am new here too and my husband and I are also planning to have the surgery.  We go next week to the first meeting then to meet with the surgeon.  We are trying to decide if we should do it the same day or a few weeks in between--what does everyone think?  Will we feel like taking care of eachother after the surgery?

I will tell my husband about the two of you as he is kinda nervous about the whole thing.  We also feel though that doing it together will be the best way to go.

Did not see till just now that you will be at St V's and whom your doc is.

Maybe you guys could join us on October21?.. We could have had our surgery earlier but decided on this date due to getting the yard etc done for fall.

You will be amazed at all the support and help you will find here.  Dont be afraid to ask any question that comes up.  We have a lot of experienced people here that probably has been through a similiar situation.

I really rely upon the boards!! Have learned so much as I have traveled them. I am usually on the LW board which is where I first started but am glad to be on here with my fellow Hoosiers!!
