When should I start to worry if I haven't had a "movement"?

These were the instructions I brought home from St Francis...
if no bowel movement occurs in three to four days you may try the following:
baby food prunes
Dulcolax suppository
colace (not pericolace)
sugar free smooth applesauce
I had a horrible time with consitipation so I was told I can take two 100 mg of colace nightly as a preventative.  I had to do that up until a week ago when I could start  getting  in around 1/2 cup of weight control oatmeal each morning it really helps, I guess its the fiber.

Try the suggestions but also remember how clean you were BEFORE surgery and how much you have ate since... there wont be much...Drink lotsa of water and walk.if you dont have one soon call the Dr and ask..they should have a great idea.

They gave me a dose of milk of magnesia before I left the hospital ... I think it worked that night. Be warned, it won't be pretty at first. LOL I had to walk in my apartment for the first few days because as soon as I started moving, I'd end up running to the bathroom!
