Hi - Newbie here

Welcome to our family,
My name is Jenny and I live in Albany IN, about  50 miles north of Indy.  I had my surgery 11 months ago and I have lost 1/2 of my weight. I am at goal now actually a little under. But I am doing well with everything. Best thing I have ever done for myself.
You will find a lot of support here so dont be afraid to ask questions as they come up. 

Welcome to the board, Chris!  Glad to have you here!  Good luck on quitting smoking!  You can do it, I know you can!!!  Good luck on getting the surgery too.  I had mine in December, and have lost 139 pounds!  Talk about a difference in how I feel!!! It is an awesome feeling!  Take care, and welcome again!

Hi Jenny and LaChelle - thanks for the warm welcome!

LaChelle, I'll be down your way the end of this month.  We're staying at West Baden Springs Hotel for my birthday.  We stayed there not long after it opened - it is so absolutely gorgeous!  Did a little gambling at French Lick Casino too.  We were down at the casino to see Ron White when he was there in December.  

Wow - most of you have lost amazing amounts of weight - congratulations!

Let me know when you are planning on visiting. I would love to meet you while you are down.  I will be off on Sunday the 28th, tho, for a friend's wedding.  I will be there Thursday thru Saturday the rest of the month tho, so hopefully we can get together while you are in!

Our reservations are for 9/27, which is my birthday, and 9/28.  We'll be checking out on 9/29.  Hopefully, I can meet you while I'm there!

Sounds good to me. I will be there on the 27th, Saturday, so maybe we can get together when I am on break or something like that.  Also, I am off on the 29th, so before you head back to Camby, let me know.  Lee Ann, also here on the OH board, has graciously set up a "Meet and Greet" at Hubers Wainery/Orchard/Restaurant in Starlight on the 28th.  It is only about 45 minutes from the casino, and you are more than welcome to join in on that outing as well!  I know that Jenny is planning on coming to it also.  We are trying to work it out to where we can go to Hubers during the day, and then the wedding that evening, so as of right now, we are planning on attending too.  Of course, since the meeting is on your actual birthday, I wouldn't blame you if you just wanted to enjoy your day at the spa! LOL

I'll give you a shout out on here when it gets closer, and we'll set up something!  I'm sure - knowing my spouse as I do - we'll be heading to the casino shortly after check in!

I don't know about spending the day at the spa - yikes, I bet it's expensive...  but probably no more so than me going through the shops spending money!  I'm looking forward to that - when we were last there, all the shops weren't open yet and the bar didn't have their food service yet.
