gas going up

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but my daughter just called from a truck stop where she is studying.  She said the word is that the gas in the town next to us has already hit $5.05 per gallon and by Monday it will be the same here. So she wanted me to go and get gas if I needed it.  I had driven to that little town next to us last night and gotten gas for $3.75 since it was already $3.99 here. So my tank is full.  Just thought I'd pass this tidbit along to you all.  Karen

When we left Aurora to go to Florence KY gas was 3.79.
In ky its 4.15 ..
2hrs later it was 4.25 there and 3.99 back in Aurora..
I drive a ford expedition  ughhh
thank goodness hubby has a geo metro...

Thanks for the heads up Karen. Wouldn't you know it? Next week is a week full of doctor appointments so a drive over to Carmel Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! My gas is on ~3/4 tank right now so I'll probably try to make it as far as I can without having to fill up again. It was already costing ~$70 to fill up...I guess it'll probably hit close to $100 the next time! Jeesh...I don't need a cost of living raise...I need a cost of gas raise!

I was told Saturday by a clerk at our gas station that it was going up to $6.00 on Sunday.  Well it never did!  But its like 4.16 or something crazy like that now.
