1 week away and sick
Hey everyone. I have my surgery on the 15th, but I'm fighting a sinus cold.
I was told it would be ok as long as my chest was clear. So I wake up to get
the kiddies up for school and my chest was congested. I have been waiting and
planing for so long. I'm hopeing and praying this chest cold will go away. Has anyone
else been in this situation?

I, too, had a cold right before my surgery date. I called my wls surgeon, and they called in some antibiotics that I could take under his supervision. I got rid of the cold, and had my surgery just as scheduled. Make sure you call your surgeon to check with them on exactly what they will and won't let you take this close to surgery.
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

I had a sinus infection (which always flares my asthma) about 5 days before surgery. I went to my PCP and I asked for a Rocephin shot (strong antibiotic) and it cleared me up before hand. The problem is my body is resistent to most oral antibiotics which is why they did a shot. I get started with shots every time before oral because I have been on them so often.
Zycam! I like the spray. I use it when I'm even thinking about getting a cold, it kills it fast.

I'm ashamed of what I did for a Klondike bar...
