Here We Go BOYS and GIRLS. Lets Learn A Little More About EachOther. I Hope You All Are Either Having Fun Or Sincerely Enjoying This. I Am.

Here We Go:

1.What two things could you not do when you were obese that you can now that you would say promotes WLS in a positve way?

2.How do you think you'll be living, health and weight wise, 7 years from now?

3.What is one thing you do well and are proud that you do well?

MY ANSWERS:

1. jog and eat porportionary size foods.

2. I'm hoping that I'll be back to borderlinning on being a vegentarian like I did before I got pregnant with Q and that my weight will hold at 150-155lbs on it's own. But more then that I'm hoping I set a better standard of eating for Q then I did for Gage when he grew up.

3. journaling..... been doing it since as long as I can remember. It's great to read back on all the old entries and have a way to remember some really great moments.

1.What two things could you not do when you were obese that you can now that you would say promotes WLS in a positve way?

My answers are for pre-last October...and actually, the same ones that I really hope I will be able to do 7 years from now (#2)...I could walk 15-20 miles PER DAY. I could exercise & dance. Even now though I am able to fit in my captain chairs in my dining room and cross my legs...two things I couldn't do pre-RNY!

2.How do you think you'll be living, health and weight wise, 7 years from now? More of #1

3.What is one thing you do well and are proud that you do well?

I think I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none...
I'm a fairly good cook, but far from a chef.

I think I don't do a half-bad job at organizing an event (but I wouldn't give up my day job

Heres mine----
1. Know what "full" feels like!  Walk for miles...& miles-without a cane, and stopping every few minutes!!

2.Doin more traveling, maintaining my weight/ exercise routine, and enjoying LIFE!!!!!

3. I don't do it perfect or well but-I am a big believer in enriching myself in my walk with the Lord. Reading, sharing fellowship, worship- all are a big part of my life that feed my soul- like food feeds my body.  I wouldn't be able to truly live without it!

Also, being a grandma- I had a wonderful one- and only hope to make good memories for my grandkids. Again, i'm not perfect, but I do try!(Believe me, with the "tween/teen yrs. it is trying!hee~hee!)

Ok here are my answers...

1.  RIDE A ROLLER COASTER!!!!  I know I can do it now and don't ever want to do it again.  I can also actually play with my daughter instead of watching her play.  I can ride bikes, hike, get on the floor and play games, even go to Holiday World with her.  I'm even getting me a season pass for next year.  That will be the first one I've had in over 20 yrs living in Spencer County!  We get Luci one but never me.  Yayyyyy

2.  I think, thankfully, that I will be living in seven years.  Before surgery, I couldn't say how long I'd be around.  Unless the Lord has other plans, I plan on being around a lot longer.

3.  I'm a pretty good Mom.  I try to be involved in things that are important to my daughter.  I'm also vice president of the PTO.  I try, not always successfully, to keep my priorities straight.

So here they are....NEXT....

Okay guys, I haven't been too good at posting (but I "lurk" daily) so here I go...

1.
What two things could you not do when you were obese that you can now that you would say promotes WLS in a positve way?   My surgery was only a couple months ago, so I'm still obese but I am already off my blood pressure meds.  And as I experienced  today, I am able to walk at the park with my non-wls friends and keep up with them.  I could even walk and talk at the same time!!  I can't wait to be small enough for roller coasters, I used to LOVE them when I was younger (and could fit).

2.How do you think you'll be living, health and weight wise, 7 years from now?  I hope to be at least 100 lbs lighter by then and plan to be more active and fit than I have ever been in my life.

3.What is one thing you do well and are proud that you do well?  That's a tough one... I would like to think that I am good at being a mom.  It's what I always wanted to be when I "grew up" and it's definitely the most rewarding job I've ever had.

1.  I can walk up 3 flights of stairs without stopping (I still slow down on that 3rd flight, but I don't have to stop!) and I can do 35 minutes on the elliptical!

2.  Barring any outside influences (accidents, etc.) I see myself as living a physically active life with good health and a maintained weight loss.  I am working to loose a few more pounds right now and beginning to show some progress.  I feel like I've gotten back on track after losing my way a little when my grandmother, grandmother-in-law and long time friend all passed away in the same week last fall.  It has taken me longer than I thought it would, but my wls has given me the self confidence to know I would get there eventually!

3.  I have learned how to be a better, more creative cook and I now have the courage to experiment more.

Thanks Jodi, for coming up with thought provoking questions yet again!

Ok Jodie...here is mine! :o)

1.
What two things could you not do when you were obese that you can now that you would say promotes WLS in a positive way? I can actually get around so much better and now when the time comes I will be small enough to qualify for a knee replacement surgery. I hope to delay it as long as possible and am doing really good now. On a frivolous side...I love being able to paint my toes, just bending over straight from my recliner in the living room...no more contorting the body trying to get to them...lol

2.How do you think you'll be living, health and weight wise, 7 years from now? I will be living for God, healthy and maintaining my weight and healthy eating pattern...Thank you Jesus!

3.What is one thing you do well and are proud that you do well? I think i am a really good communicator and pick me up person. i always try to put forth passion in my life and share my joy and happiness with others. Life is way to short and we need to help nurture others and help build others up and not tear them down. On a fun side..I am great at accessories! lol Yea!

Have a fabulous day all!

1.What two things could you not do when you were obese that you can now that you would say promotes WLS in a positve way?

Be physically active.  We walk, ride bikes, hike trails, ride horses, swim.  I couldn't do any of that 3 years ago.  I can also fasten a seat belt without thinking about it, fit thru a turnstile ( I hated those pre-op), put on my pants while standing, NOT have to use the handicap toilets becasue the other stall are to small.  So many little things that I still notice every day.

2.How do you think you'll be living, health and weight wise, 7 years from now?

In seven years I hope to be  retired and seeing more of this country.

3.What is one thing you do well and are proud that you do well?

My job. It may sound icky but part of my job is drawing blood from people and it gives me great pride when I can draw someone that comes in and says "No one can ever get me, I'm a very hard stick" and then I get them with no problem.  I rarely ever have to stick anyone twice. I don't know that it anything I've had to work at very hard.  It is just a lot of years of experience and a natural nack for it.
