Hi Cathy, nice to meet you. I actually called Deaconess and St. Mary's this morning and they both told me since I am not getting my surgery through them (getting it at St. Vincents), that I was not allowed to attend. The YMCA wants $47 a month to be a member before I can attend theirs. Personally, I think that is a crock of crap. Anyone should be able to attend and I believe that it is discrimanatory. Kim

The one I am talking about does NOT require you tto be a member. You just show up and walk in, lol. The people at the Y are obviously clueless on what you are asking. The next one is 9/23 and where I said above, I am hoping to go unless I am too tired from surgery still.

Hello again,

The privately run meetings are not like that, even though they are held on hospital grounds. I just went to them, and there were people there who had surgery in many different places. Vicky Woods is the head of one of them. You can email her @ [email protected] and she can tell you more...
Her surgery was followed by the local television station; it was about 5 or 6 years ago, I think.
