Home...again

Hmmm....the colonoscopy is done. Dr. Fecht came out and told Bill that he was able to get up into the intestines (yeah!) but said everything looked normal...which is a puzzle given the test results just a few weeks ago. He did take biopsies and I'm to call his office in 5 days to get the results...and then set up a 15 minute appointment for to see him in 2 weeks. He also mentioned that there were other tests he can order (so why wait the 2 weeks?!?!?).  I guess he also made statements to the effect that he thought my issue was 'gas from my rny'. B-O-L-O-G-N-A!  I sincerely hope he doesn't try to tell me that when I go for that appointment! I will be asking Dr. Gupta to find someone whose head isn't where the colonoscopies are done at! Funny how I never had a problem with all of this crap until the intestines were pulled out of my body...NOT the 3 years earlier during my RNY!

So..as frustrated as I am right now, I am sitting here with my fingers crossed that the biopsies will show what is going on and show him that it is NOT due to my RNY...yes, he has tried to blame EVERYTHING on my RNY and I have had to tell him repeatedly that I had THREE YEARS post-op without these issues and that NONE of them happened until October. He has even ried telling me that ALL OF MY INTESTINES were bypassed with my RNY. I guess I should have a more heart to heart with Dr. Gupta about her friend at my next appointment. That guy really needs some RNY education...but I have a feeling he wouldn't listen cause he thinks he already knows it all. Sorry...just a little ticked off right now. Time for me to take some pain meds and chill out. Yeah..tummy isn't doing too good right now. Normal RNY gas???? Ever hear of it being strong enough to bust stitches out of an abdominal incision???? GRRRRRR!

Wow, I am so sorry that you didn't find out any good reasons as to what is/may be going on! I am with ya on trying to have a one on one with Dr. Gupta. Some doctors just want to blame EVERYTHING on WLS! I really wish that we didn't have to go through all of that. Too many of us have had great experiences and our lives saved/increased to be blaming WLS for whatever/everything else that happens along our journies! I do hope that you find some resolution soon! I am keeping my fingers crossed that your biopsies tell something of signifacance! Hugz Dawn

Soon someone will find out whats going on. They have too.
Its been way to long. I would like to see the doctors going thur what you are. Its been close to a year, lets google your systems and see what we get. Love you.  We know its not WLS>THE DUMMY'S>
