Kidney Stones!!!!!

They SUCK!!!!!   I have wound up in the ER this evening from work, due to several small kidney stones that I am trying to pass.  I had experienced them previously, but not like this.  The first time, it was horrendous pain, and it wouldn't let up at all.  This time, thank goodness, it would come and go in waves.  They ran a CT scan on my abdomen, and found that I have several small ones that are traveling down.  Luckily they are small enough that I will be able to pass them within a few days hopefully.  Of course now just comes the waiting game as when they actually will pass.  Uggh.  They gave me an iv, and a shot of pain meds, and that has finally wore off, so hopefully I can get my script filled.  I am just waiting on the pharmacist to call me back to tell me how much it will be, so I will know if I will have the $$$ to pay for it.  I may have to just wait until Saturday, and deal with the pain until then, unless I get them passed before then. Keep your fingers crossed!  Either way, I am going to crawl in bed and get some rest.  Take care and ttyl.

Ouch LaChelle....hopefully they will pass quickly. i have been fortunate and never had them (knocking on wood...oh...thats dh head!) so I do not  know that pain but have heard from Becka that a c-section is easier!  Rest and take it easy. See if the pharmacy will just fill half a script. for you to buy now....enough to get ya through til payday. Rite aid here is good about that!  get some rest! 

LaChelle, my heart goes out to you since I have had them 2 times in a 9 month period. Mine are calcium stones and so I was taken off the calcium right away by Holly the PA of the wls doctor. I am now on a liquid med~Cytra K for the stones. It helps to add time from them coming back. The doctor told me that if you get them every year it will stop them from coming back for about 5 years. I told him that sounded good to me. The first stone I had to have surgically removed~ouch! The stent was murder. I almost lost the kidney to that stone too. It was large and blocking the kidney. The second one I informed the er I had one and they asked how I knew that. I told to trust me if you had one you never forget the pain. I had so much pain with the second one. I had a morphine pump and also pain shots in my iv. I was pretty much in h3ll. I wish you luck. I would ask about the pharmacy filling just enough to get you through until payday. Most of them will do that. Prayers are going up for you.

Never had'em, hope I never do.  I've seen the pain they cause.  Hope you are feeling better soon.
We were planing on being at the casino tomorrow night but we may not make it.  It will depend on what time we get out of Indy.  We were just going to stay in the RV in the casino parking lot and go to Spring Mill Friday but we decided to get park reservations for Thurs nite also.

Some of the national pharmacies have online sites with a listing of which pharmacuiticals they have at a greatly reduced price..some, as low as $4 for the script. You may want to check them out. I think Krogers & WalMart may be two of those. You might want to try Target & Walgreens too.

I hope you get them out of your system quickly!!!

Lachelle I hope they pass quickly and with as little pain as possible... take care of you!!! Ouch...

OOOHHH baby that is an OUCH don't it !  I have passed acouple real small ones and my son bless his heart saves his in a medicing bottle.. they look like chrystal glass razor blades!!  He gets so bad like you he goes to hospital.. He went thru all the expensive tests and the Dr says.. yep there are more in there... there is nothing we can do about it... I think he needed to change Drs.

Best of luck hopefully they pass quickly. WE WLS Patients are more prone to get them n ow.. SIP SIP SIP keep those kidneys healthy

I hope you get too feeling better real soon. I have never had them so I dont know what they feel like, but from what I hear they are very painful.  Hope you are pain free very soon.
