Super Sunday

Hope everyone is doing fine today.  I am ok today, just sleepy still.  I have to be at work in a little while, and get Jimmy to work as well, and drop the girls off at the babysitters, so this morning is rushed around as always.   Just another typical day in the Rick household!

Say a special prayer for me today while you are at the church of your choice.  Pray that I don't KILL anyone on the dice table today!  Here lately, I am to the point of being bored to tears on that game..........that means that I am getting burned out already!  I certainly hope not!  Anyway, please just pray for me to stay active and sane today! LOL

Melissa and Linda, you all stay safe on the drive down! I can't wait to see you both!  Everyone else on the road today, drive safe and please be careful.  And to those staying home, enjoy it if you can.

Good morning!

I'm up and at `em unfortunately. I'd rather be snuggled under my blankets and sleeping, thats not happening. I am pretty frustrated with my darling DH this morning. Oh well tis life.

Anyways I hope everyone has a good day. I'm debating jumping in the car after church and heading somewhere. I'm thinking maybe Louisville to see my nieces or something. I have nothing better to do. I guess it just depends on how tired I am after church.

Being the Vegas junkies that we are, Bill & I are trying to figure out how you can be bored to tears with the dice table..if there are people there playing it. Have you been on it that long? Are the people coming in half asleep? I don't know...I guess to me (which...I usually play slots..lol), those at the dice tables are usually HIGH energy people (actually...THEY are the ones that would get on MY nerves...not the game itself....lol!). I think if I worked at a casino, it would be the card tables that I'd get bored with. No...not the high stake ones. The ones for the husband from Idaho can't sleep with wife snoring at 3 am table. I'd be to the point that if I heard 'hit me' one more time...I might would!

I think a good job is one that keeps your mind active, your hands busy, and has room for you to grow.

Sherri, I have been in the casino business for over 15 years......so yes, I have been at it too long.  It isn't the game that bores me sometimes, but the day-in-and-day-out players that are there every day all day long, and bet the exact same way every single time the entire 10 HOURS that I am there.  The game of dice is a challenge in itself, but with players like that, that is where it gets boring for me.  I do like to have the variety in the game, so for me to have a busy game with alot of action, that is the best part of my day!

As far as cards go, yes, they are almost the most boring part of the business anymore.  Once you learn a new game or two, then you never want to deal blackjack ever again! LOL

Talking about people coming in half asleep, yes, we have had several fall asleep in the pits, and have even seen a few of those die hard gamblers coming down from their rooms wearing their pjs and a robe!!!  Now thats just an addict there if you ask me!
