Hospital again
Hello Losers,
Sorry I haven't been on line again. It was so good to see everyone at the cook-out. (it was so good to see everyone, sorry we had to leave so early). Monday early am 2:30 to be exact. I woke up in alot of pain and my dr. advised to go to er. Sun I had some vomiting and nausea from then on. Long story short the admited me ran alot of test & I had 3bags of fluid in before I even voided alitte bit so I was very dry. Still they couldn't find what was wrong!!!! The Dr. (not mine) sent me home anyway to follow with my Dr. & GYN, because of some fibroids in my uterus. MY BP was running 80/44 pulse low 40's & I was in just as much pain as when I was admitted. Lets put it this way my Dr's were very unhappy with the way I was treated & Rodger won't take me back to that hospital again. My Gyn took one look at all the films and said that the pain is from a large cyst that ruptured. Mon I have to see him again I might need surgery I also had some lab work he ordered. Please pray one of these is a ca125. I'm alittle nervous because I lost both parents to cancer! Dad was 42 & Mom was 59.
Love to everyone Cheryl

Oh my goodness Sweety, you have been thru the ringer! I too, had Fibroid Cysts on both ovaries at differant times, & they are horribly painful!!! I had to have 2 surgeries to correct the problems, then a hysterectomy. I am NOT projecting/predicting that for you` that is the last thing I am saying!!!! I just want you well!!!Do ask /make sure you get a CA125!!!
I am praying hard for you girlie! I told you Rodger is a "keeper"-& he keeps proving it!!!!Did they figure out your blood pressure problem yet?? It was awesome to see you at the get-together, I hardly recognized you!!!!
Sending you healing (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))

Cheryl,
Did your GYN ever mention Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) to you? I had to have cysts removed from my ovaries twice in my younder years. In addition to that, my periods were always screwy and I got hair on my chinny-*****hin every since I was in my early 20's. My doctor at the time said that the hair was either from my nationality (I'm german/irish/cherokee indian....NOTHING that is known for being hairy..like say the Itailians can be) or from my age (I think I was 23 at the time..that is old??). It wasn't until I moved to Indy and saw a GYN up here that I heard of PCOS...so...a good 15 years after the onset! The first thing he did was have a gucose intollerence test done and sure enough, I had to be put on glucaphage! Now days though, I've had a hysterectomy so no period at all
, no need for glucaphage since my RNY
, and ovaries so small that the GYN can't feel them when she examines me
. Of course, I still have the billy goat hair, but oh well. At least NOW I'm old enough for it! LOL!
If this isn't the first..or only cyst, ask your GYN about PCOS. He/she may want to run a few tests to see if you are having problems from anything else associated with this syndrome.
I can imagine how nervous it made you given your parents cancers history. My sister died of lymphatic malignoma and her first symtom was a lump in her thigh. Now? Any lump I feel scares me! She was only 32 so I have kinda felt like I'm on borrowed time every since I turned 33 (yes..she was the oldest one of me & my siblings).
I hope your bloodwork all comes out okay.....keep us updated--k?
