I have an enitre box of citracal creamy bites - chocolate fudge. I do not use them. The box is opened and I did have 2. The box expires 12/08 - have 28 of them left in the box
im happy to send them to you if you wanna pay $5.00 for the box and whatever shipping is. I hate to throw them away.
and so you know - there are SEVERAL boxes of CCB on sale on ebay that people are selling
You can order the chews off line as well or there is a liquid calcium that you can order off line too... those both work well... after surgery i liked the liquid because I could put it in my shakes...
oh and I was going to let you know about those dog gone horse pills that dr K makes you take... the trinsicon... they go down better and have less after taste if you take them with hot decaffeinated Tea... it dissolves them faster in your stomach and you don't burp so much... i hated them things right after surgery...

You might talk to your NUT (or doctor) and see if you are far enough out to take Citracal Petites yet. I couldn't stand the liquid calcium I was taking and at 1 week post op my nut told me I could take the petites. I have to take 7 of them daily to get the required amount in, but it's SOO much better than the crushed pills or liquid.
When I was at the KOA campout Ellen gave me a sample of powdered Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D that she said was tasteless. Sorry I haven't tried it yet since I still have some of the calcium chews left. The website is www.globalhp.com and it was called UpCal D. Each packet was 500 mg. So you would need 3 per day. I checked out the site and I didn't think the prices sounded too bad. Maybe this would help you. Karen

You might want to try Bariatric Advantage. They have calcium lozenges. The mint ones are delicious. WWW.BariatricAdvantage.com
I use the powdered calcium that one of the other ladies mentioned. I really like it. You can put it in any liquid or just sprinkle it on your food. My sister even sprinkled it on a taco (not a wls patient). I've added it to my salads, sprinkled it on meats and I add it to my coffee in the mornings and water in the afternoons. Because it is a mineral you do need to shake it before you drink (minerals don't really dissolve), but it is tasteless in a 16.9 oz bottle of water. Send me an address by pm and I'll mail you a couple of samples.

I take the calcium lozenges from Bariatric Advantage in wild cherry flavor, and they are pretty decent...taste very similar to a swee'tart. I emailed them about 2 weeks ago regarding the creamy bites, and they said they'll be selling them in the fall. Once those are available, I plan to switch. My dad took the CB until they stopped making them, and loved them. He takes Tropical Oasis, but I can't handle the taste and texture.
