Good morning to everyone out there! Is it Friday yet? This teacher is pooped! Overall the start of school has gone very smoothly and the school day is flying by. I am so excited to see how much the kids have retained over the summer. That is always a big concern. Deaf kids have to learn every word that they read by sight since phonics (sounding things out) doesn't work for them. So it is really important that they remember each word they have previously learned. Some do better than others.
Today is an important day for my family and we could use some prayer support. I live with my daughter and granddaughter (age 7) since my divorce 5 years ago. I am supporting them while my daughter is going to college full time. She has finished her bachelor's degree and is currently working on her Master's in Social Work. This is her last semester to have to drive several days a week to Indy to IUPUI, thank heavens! The gas is killing her! Anyway next semester she is scheduled to do a 5 month internship. Often that placement ends up in future employment. She wants to work eventually for the VA either in Fort Wayne or Marion. She has an interview for this internship this morning at 10:00 in Marion. She is really nervous. Any prayers would be appreciated. I'll keep you all posted.

Good morning Karen. Hope the second week of school goes by faster for you than this one is! It usually does when you get back into the routine each year. Prayers also going out to your daughter on her interview. Hope she hears something good.
Today is back to work for me. Oh well. At least I am able to go and enjoy myself, and not be outside in this miserable heat like we are supposed to have today.
Jimmy is off today, so I didn't have to get up too early. He was so stressed out yesterday because of the "kids" that he has to work with. They just aren't doing what they are required and told to do. He just can't seem to get them to do their job, and it is really ticking him off. Of course, they can't fire them, because they are already short staffed and that would just make it worse. He just really was at his wits end yesterday, and I told him to just pray about it, and he did, and hopefully it will help him find that peace that he has been searching for.

Good morning all!
This just hasnt been the best week for me. Just one thing after another. Bickering at work, bickering at home. I am just getting sick of it.
Last night I got so aggravated, I was in our local grocery store and in a little small town and I run into a good friend of mine. She hasnt really seen me in a couple months. We were standing there talking with the cashier (one of my ex-boyfriends moms) and they both were talking about my weight and how I was too skinny and I need to quit losing, blah, blah blah. I said I am not tryin to lose anymore, and I am trying to increase my calories. Meanwhile all this is in front of about 10 customers that just are staring at me. I wanted to crawl under the counter. Quite embarrasing to be the center of attention on a matter like that. I finally said to them, thanks for your concern, but I am quite happy with what I look like and I know what my body can handle and where it needs to be.
I swear some people can just be so rude.
Karen I pray that your daughter has a good interview and everything comes out in her favor. I bet she is about glad that her school is almost done.
Lachelle tell Jimmy to hang in there. Sometimes even though you dont have enough staff, its better to let them go anyway. Just to show them they arent getting by with not doing there job. Its tough I know.

Murphy's Law has struck again! I have a meeting this afternoon so that our group can get together with that other group that we are suppose to be moving in with at work. After that, it's straight to Bill's eye appointment and then tomorrow is my surgery thing. What happens? We go out to eat last night to discover that the fan isn't shutting off on my Durango! I turn off the key and it doesn't turn off. We took it to Pep Boys & Sears...the only places open with mechanics at that time of day...and neither could help except to tell us to disconnect the battery for the night. So..now I'm waiting for our mechanic shop to open up so I can get it in. So much for me going in to work last Sunday and staying so late on Monday to try not to have to use any vacation time this week to cover everything, huh? Grrrr! I have to have my truck though so not a lot of choices. It's a M-F world for most mechanic shops too...and nothing is saying that I'd feel up to messing with it Saturday so...here I am. I figure they should be in by 8 so not much longer.
Dr. Bergman did drain my leg again. She got 8 cc's from it...which surprised me. The last time, it was only 6 cc's and I thought it was smaller this time. I must have a hidden pocket in there somewhere. She is going to order some of the 'caine' I can have (I'm allergic to most of them..aka novacaine) so that in the near future she can numb it up and open it up. We'll be doing the wet gauze pack on it to try to get it to heal up. I hope I have better luck with it than these places on my belly. It too is going on a year without being healed up though. I go back in a month this time. She wanted to give me a chance to get through some of this intestine testing that I have coming up.
Well..time to throw some clothes on and go see a man about a truck...

As for me.....I am downing my first cup of coffee as Braedyn sits here playing in his exersaucer! I think the croup has finally passed...now to clear up that final bit os sinus crud! Being home with a sick baby is definitely not fun! But mom has school so grandma is on duty! The old gray mare just ain't what she used to be...

Good Morning Hoosiers....prayers for each of you today. I have been having a terrible time with my weight. I have not lost an ounce in 19 days, its so hard to do what you know is right day after day and not see any results this soon after surgery. I talked to the nurtritionist yesterday and she assured me that its normal to not see weight loss at around three weeks but it doesn't make it much easier. I decided to go yesterday to the Goodwill in Indy and pick up some exercise clothes in a smaller size so I can have something to look forward to. A size 1x looks so small to me I can not believe that I will ever wear that size. I bought them anyway so we shall see.
My son is off to an awesome start to high school, I am sooo proud of him. He sure has a ton of homework, I am wondering if all freshmen have this much? Last night it was about 3 hours of work.
Not much planned for myself today, I have bible class at 10 then I am thinking it will be a great day to hop in the lake.

Good Morning Indiana.....
I have not posted in awhile...but reading everyday....lurking I should say!!!!
Lets see.....this past weekend we had my daughters 6th birthday and a back to school cookout and bonfire....we had an awesome time and am now glad that it is behind me....lots of planning and leg work!!!! The kids are off to school....and so far loving every minute of it!! They both have their first spelling tests today.....
I really fell off the wagon recently.....I had a really bad ear infection and was taking a lot of liquid Lortab.....man besides the sugar in that stuff....it make me suffer from insomnia, and have the munchies like crazy!!!!! Finally got over that and did not refill my medicine.....so needless to say I gained 7 pounds.....HOLY S**T!!!!! Well I am here to say that I am back on track...at least with three wheels.....I have 4 of the 7 back off......last night I weeded in my pumpkin patch for close to two hours, and have been back riding my bike.....Man I want my Century Card like Brenda!!!!! Sometime soon I hope.....
My sister and family made the last trip back to NC and are getting settled in the new house.....my brother and family are here in Indiana for a week before heading to Salt Lake for their new home for the next year. Man.....so trying to squeeze in as much time with them and the neices and nephew as I can.
Lets see what else? I am still making final plans for our cruise in Feb., booked our Park, Ride, and Fly yesterday....I am super excited....want to get a tummy flattening one piece swimsuit...anyone know of good sales on suits? My hubby got his birth cert., now to wait on mine to arrive so we can get our passports done......
I am a stay at home Mom and babysit....it looks like one of my children will be dropping off my list by the end of the year, and I got a call yesterday that someone needs a sitter.....God is good!!!! I actually have no kids tomorrow.....so I called and made an appoinment for a haircut, eyebrow waxing, and a spa pedicure!!!!!! So looking forward to that!!!! I am going to go tan right before I head in for all my pampering.....thinking lunch at Subway...I get the wrap and can only eat half of it, so it makes for two meals!!!!!
Well I think that is it for now.....family pictures are getting taken on Sunday....so will post those as soon as I get them back!!!!!!
