I need to find a hematologist.. Any suggestions?

Dr C wants me to see a hematologist and I'm to the point where I am willing to drive to Indy. I've been trying to find someone down here and I looked on my insurance company's website and nothing is up to date there. Some numbers are out of order and or the doctors have moved on or what not. So I called my PCP's office and the nurse who does the nurse line said to call my insurance company and so I did and they have the same list as on their site.  Soo if any of you have any suggestions on who you've seen.. Please do share. :)

Have you checked with Ft Wayne Medical Oncology & Hematology?  They have offices at 4402 East State and 7910 West Jefferson Blvd.  Phone number is 260 484-8830.  I have many patients that go thru them.  I've heard a lot of nice things about Dr. Gize and Nattam.  There are 16 Dr.s in the group. You may have to get Dr C to call in a referral for you.

Go to Yahoo.com..then to yellow pages.
Click on change location and put your zip code in.
Then put 'Hematology' in the search area.

You'll get a list of hematologists near you that you can view alphabetically or by the distance from you.

I went to the Indiana Hemophilia Thrombosis and my doc was Anne Greist. She's terrific...although I think their whole office is completely unorganized.
