Stall
Well I read about them and mine is finally here. Its about week two. I try not to weigh to offten so I cant recall exactly when it started. I know most people have them was just looking for a little advice to get it going again. It was like I lost 50 pounds then I stoped. Eating habits have not changed, not cheating or anything. I struggle to get in my protein, but that has been a problem since day one as it makes me sick in all forms! Water intake is good. I am trying to up my walking this week to see if that help.
Does the body just "restart" again when its ready? After it catches up? How long do they usually last?
Thanks,
Kim

Kim,
Three things help with our weight loss: Protein, Exercise, Water....AKA: PEW.
Do your best to get in protein in some form. Remember that it does not HAVE TO be a protein shake. It can be string cheese, cottage cheese, milk, beans, meats, eggs. Any of those ...with the lowest fats..and cooked in a low fat manner is good for you!
Exercise is always good. Sometimes, changing it up abit helps. If you only walk now, try dancing, swimming, or bike riding (or____).
Water: The recommended minimum is 64 oz....more is better. Some people do great using crystal light to get it in, others swear that it has to be pure H2O. Be sure it is low in calories, no carbonation, and no caffiene. My drink of choice lately has been decaf ice tea (with sweet & low). Some people include their protein ounces as 'water'. I was told not to do that since it is not low calorie (less than 10 cal/serving).
Sometimes our body just needs to take a break. I'm sure that is probably what is happening with yours. Be patient..but increase one or more of the PEW's and choose an exercise to have lots of fun with!

I stalled for about 10 days once already. I kicked up my fluid intake and pushed in protein. The little tubes of protein that are 42grams in about 2 oz. size are awesome. You can force down half a tube at a time and you will make it much easier for yourself. You body will kick in again when it gets adjusted. Mine just started dropping 2 lbs. every other day when the stall ended. I lost another 11 pounds in less than 2 weeks. So dont be discouraged. Just keep up the good work and try to get in your protein. It really does make a difference.
Take care!

I think I'm headed for one now too....only lost .8 this past week. I've been trying to kick up my PEW's, but my calories had also crept up a bit, so I'm really focusing on the basics again. I've lost 52.6 pounds, but that's only half of what I want to lose, so I hope this doesn't last long! Water has been my biggest challenge, so I'm headed to the kitchen to drink 24 oz before bed!
