i have been feeling like crap for about 2 weeks now. i've been pushing the protein like crazy, but i can't seem to find enough energy to really get up and moving like i would like. actually, i can't seem to make the room still for all the protein, water, and food. some meals i can get 4 oz in, while others, it's lucky if i can get the whole protein bar in. i've also been on my "girlie time" for a MONTH now. i'm tired and cranky. i've slept for over 12 hours 4 times in the last week, and i fell asleep on the sofa yesterday during my lunch "hour". i haven't lost but 3 pounds in the last month either. granted, i'm putting on muscle and still loosing inches, but still...oh, and i dumped on my vitamin chewables one day, and honestly, i'm behind on my vitamins. could that be all that's wrong?

i need some encouragement and advice. please!

Hope you are feeling at least a bit better! I too, was needing to up my B12, maybe that is it! I agree with Deb toothat with your TOM lasting that long your iron could be off! Give your surgeons office a call! It can't hurt! Maybe they could run some labs just to be sure! Hope you are feeling better and rested well soon! Hugz Dawn

Thanks again for everything! Hope I can be there for ya! Hugz

Alisha,

You may want to see your family doctor. He/she will probably want to run some bloodwork. Yep..low iron and low B12 can cause you to feel drained...but so can your thyroid and I'm sure a host of other things. I was about 3 months post-op when we found out I needed to be on synthroid. Just recently, my dose had to be increased and lack of energy was one of the symptoms. I think I'd be following up on that month-long period too. Your hormones may be off and a simple blood test can show that too.

Vitamins can play a critical role in your well-being. I know it can be hard to get into...or get back into...the habit of taking them daily but they are SO important.
