Good sleepy morning!

OMG, I could just lay down and snooze! Yes, I went to bed at my usual time last night. I have a feeling that tonight will be a few hours earlier.

Yesterday, we spent some time with my MIL (in hospital). Then I had my mammagram done. Yeah! Done for another year!!!

My boss doesn't get here until 7-7:30.  When he does, I'll find out if I'm on 10 hr shifts yet.

Oh..Heather from Dr. Gupta's called yesterday. I'll be having out-patient 'surgery' done on August 22nd at 10:30 am. She's going to close up those holes on my belly. I'll be able to go to work the following Monday so no biggie!  I STILL haven't heard from Dr. Fecht. I have an appointment with him for the 19th. I am guessing that he'll wait until then. IF he does, that is going to totally tick Bill off because he promised that he wouldn't wait for the next thing until the appointment when Bill asked him about 'why 6 weeks' at my last one.

Well..you all have a peachy  keen day!

Good morning all.  I just got the girls on the bus for their first day back to school.  They were so excited, so it was easy to get them up.  Of course, I wore them out yesterday as well.  We went horse back riding and went out on Patoka Lake.  Talk about fun!!!!  I got thrown off a horse, and I got right back up and didn't hurt a bit!  Now, this time last year, that would have been a different story!  I wouldn't have been able to hop right back up and do it again, but now I am able to, and have no trouble at all.  Also, I did something yesterday that I haven't been able to do before.  Ski and Boogie Board on the lake!!!  I have NEVER been able to pull myself up on either, and never really tried before, but yesterday I was able to do both, and had so much fun too.  We also got on the huge "Big Mable" tube, and was pulled behind the boat on that as well.  That was so much freaking fun!!!  I would love to do that all summer long if I had the chance to! LOL

Not much planned for today.......I may go horseback riding again this morning.  This afternoon I am picking the girls up from school, and then taking Jimmy to work.  I am going to attend my very first support group meeting this evening in Louisville.  I know, I should have gone way before now, but this has been the very first chance I have had to go, and I really want to go.  They are held on days that I work normally, so that was another reason I couldn't attend.  I just wish there were some closer to me here.  Oh well.

Have a wonderful day all.  Take care and ttyl!

Jenny I know what ya mean. My youngest daughter has just started her freshman year as well. It is so hard to believe that we are at this point already. I just wanted to grab her today on her way out the door and say "no...you can't go...you are still a baby!" But...she's not and I am having to learn to let go. It sucks because my heart aches for them to be little again and have more time with them. My oldest is a junior this year as well. I am amazed at how fast they grow up. She has to pack the diaper bag, etccc in the am so I can drop of Braedyn to the sitter on my way in to work. Then she picks him up. Its going to be rough for her, but she will get into a grove with homework etc. He has forced her to become alot more responsible at a young age.

Sherri...hope they can get ya fixed soon......one thing at a time though huh!

LaChelle...I will see ya tonight! It sucks having to go that far, but for me it is worth the trip for peace of mind and support. I agree...I wish there were something closer!

Everyone else...have a peachy cool day! The weather is suppose to be gorgeous again today! I will be spending my day at the Norton's hospital having testing done. Possible breast cancer...

I am just staying positive and what ever comes I will deal with. I am not going to sweat the small stuff...its all small stuf!  I am outta here.......

Good morning - I hope everyone is doing well today.  Sherri, I was so sorry to hear about your MIL.  Glad you were able to get her the medical help she needed and her blood sugar will be able to stabilize quickly.  She was in some serious danger with a level of 39!  Great to hear they are going to try to close up those belly holes.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.  I assume that if you start on 10 hour days that you will get a 3 day weekend each week.  That would sound very appealing to me.

Congrats to the gal who took her kids horseback riding, fell off, and then got back on!  (I can't remember how to spell her name and don't want to mess it up - sorry, but it is a very pretty name)  Isn't it amazing all the things we missed out on doing for so many years due to our weight?  I thank God daily for my surgeon and for this opportunity to live again - saggy skin and all.

I know many of you moms are counting down the days to when you see the school bus, but just remember as you are saying "thank God school is starting" there are teachers who are saying "OMG, here they come!"  Hahaha  Seriously, this will be my 31st year of teaching and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else, but it is stressful to get back into the swing of things.

I have a meeting with some fellow teachers this afternoon to discuss the books that each of us read this summer as preview for our literary group that meets every 6 weeks.  I love to read and it is fun to all read the same book and then discuss it.  I also plan to have dinner Wed night with a friend who went to Rome this summer.  These last few days of vacation are flying by.  Hope you all have a great day!  Karen

Goo Morning Everyone,

Like you Sherri, I could snooze away some more myself also. However, Q awoke this morning alerting me to a mess that he made during the night. Poor kid had to hit the bathtub first thing this A.M. and then I had the pleasure of stripping his bed. He's still working on getthing those top teeth in and... well... he's miserable and making sure we know it.

I'm heading to Indy here in a few to get another band fill. I really don't need a whole lot this time around because now that the stress of the wedding is over my band has kicked in and... it's aworking, hahahaha! I'm just gonna get a little tweak. Gage is gonna come with me and hit a few stores for some last minute school clothing items since school for him starts tomorrow.

I was gonna look for a partime job, my offered to watch Q for free, however now she's looking for a parttime job meaning.... I'm home with Q. No biggie, but I was kinda looking forward to having a little pocket money and it wouldn't be worth my while to put Q in day care AND work, so home I'll sit.

Friday we'll be at the State Fair to watch BreakSkates. They are a dance crew from Kokomo that made it up to fourth place on Mtv's Randy Jackson presents America's Best Dance Crew competion. They dance on skates and they are pretty dang awesome. They are preforming on a free concert at the grandstand. Then Saturday morning Matt has a State golf outing for the Special Olympics. As a team and then playing again for singles. So that will take most of the day. And then SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY - the start of our honeymoon. We are headed up to Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan. I'm so excited about this I'm squealing, haha!

Anyways - gotta head for the showers and get ready to leave.

Blessings Everyone

Good morning all:  I'm kind of loafing this morning at work.. Not very busy--so far.  I tried to stay up last night and watch some of the olympics.  I did see the womens beach vollyball but anything after that was just a blur.  At one point I remember waking and seeing Phelps holding up another gold.  That was the swim I was waiting to see so I just went to bed then.  I'd love to see some of the equestrian competition but they NEVER show any of that.  You have to be watching and hope to even see a brief clip or mention of it.  BUT we can watch China and Japan play badmitton.  I think they should tape and play all our teams weather they win or not. Who cares if Ubeckizstan (sp) wins in skeet shooting, US didn't even qualify for finals in that and they were showing it.   OK I'll get off my soap box now.

I'm organizing our fall trips. I cant wait to get going again.  We are doing Indiana state parks this fall and 1 in Mich.  Spring Mill, Turkey Run, McCormiks Creek, and Clifty Falls.  Also East Tawas SP in Mich.   I think I'm off 1/2 the month of October and the last week of Sept.

Glad I don't have the worries about kids getting back to school any more.  I benifit of getting older.  That is one reason we like to take our vacations in the fall.  It is cooler and the kids are in school and the campgrounds are quieter.  I do like seeing the kids in the campgrounds though.
They are out riding bikes, catching critters, jumping rope and having a great time without a TV in front of them.  I think it is so good for them.

Well I've got to quit rambling and do some work.  You all have a good day!

Good morning, Hoosierland!

It seems to be a nice day today. The sun is shinning and it is fairly warm. I am not sure what the temperature is suppose to be today. I saw the tail end of the weather but that was it. I got no information from what I saw at all. lol So I am in the dark as far as the weather is. But then again I am in the dark for a lot of other things too!

I have a church meeting tonight. I am not looking forward to it at all. I am in a bad mood this morning and I am ready to let them all have it. I gave them forms to fill out and a cut off date of last month and how many of them have I got back? ONE! That is it. I passed out about 15 of them and I get one. I am suppose to have meetings on these and Pastor and I have to fill out the church evaluation form and send it to the District Office by the first of September and I have nothing from these people. Same stuff just a different day at Porter United Methodist Church!

I got so much garbage sitting around here. I have this afternoon to do something about it and I am going to hit it full force let me tell ya! I am so tired of stuff sitting around and it is going and going today. I don't care what it is it is otta here! lol If Bill wasn't gone to work he would be at the Good will or the garbage too. Misty better watch out. lol

I went to the doctor yesterday and got on Cipro for the UTI. I started it today since I can't do so much or take things within a certain time of having something. I hate it when meds have warnings like that. I know that it is for a reason but then it just makes it hard to figure out when to take them. I got my Cipro in when I took my other meds but now I have to wait at least 2 hours to take my vitamins. Oh well~we gotta do what we gotta do I guess. Other than the infection nothing is different. She told me that my b/p was up. It is still low but the good news is it is up some.

I better get going. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone with special ones for those in need of them. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Not much going on here. Trying to recouperate from yesterday..

My blood sugar was doing some funky things but the glucose tablets were making me heave and feel sick to my stomach worse. They were terribly sweet and I was trying 1/2 at a time.

I slept good last night though, was the first time in a long time I've crashed and not woke up a lot. Anyways I dont know what else to say..

(( HUGS )) to you all..

I guess I forgot to post on the daily thread, today. I switched my days off for today. I was suppose to be off on Sunday. Tyler has his last day of drivers ed tonight and Terry has school so I needed it off and forgot to ask for it off. SO I switched for it off. I just got done playing guitar hero...how fun. I need to jump in the shower and do some work around here today before Ty has to be in Martinsville for drivers Ed. Have a great Day!

PS. Thank you secret Elf for my ecard. I am getting them now and Bella likes to watch them on the computer and she picked out the one I sent back to you :) Shanna
