Good morning everyone! Okay..so it's a late morning for me, but it IS still morning! LOL!!
I had such a wonderful, wonderful time this weekend. I was a little frustrated with my belly because it decided to swell up (As usual!) but I certainly tried to not let it stop me from doing my thing! LOL! It was super-duper seeing everyone but I do want to especially thank a few people for all their terrific help:
Karen: Thank you for just pitching in there and doing whatever we needed without being asked or told. You have no idea how much that meant to me.
Ellen: Thank you so much sis for helping with the cooking. At one point, there were several in our RV and we were having a good time
so I felt guilty and was hoping you weren't over in yours trying to get stuff done alone. Nope! You had another group in there and you all were also having a good time
! LOL! Be sure to thank Dana for me for doing such a good job as fire marshal!
Brenda: Thank you so much for 'getting things done'. I appreciate your willingness to take control and get the tables moved where they need to go & stuff! I hope Floyd's back is doing a little better today.
And to the hubbys of our members....
Jodi: Please tell Matt thank you for me for allowing me to abuse him! LOL! He was so terrific at allowing me to tell him to do stuff. He was just my regular little go-fer and I really appreciated the wonderful attitude he had about it!
Shanna: Please thank Terry & Tyler for their help. Whenever we needed tables moved, they were right there to help ! Which...is saying something. I also thought it was terrific how Terry & Tyler watched Belle & Rebekah so that their mommy's could enjoy the 'adult' campfire time.
Jan: Please thank your husband for helping Bill with his grill duties (so did Karen). I was glad to see that he hit it off so well with the hubby of a devout 'cult' member..lol!!! Bill says to tell him hi for him.
Hope: Wonderful, wonderful time! Thank you so much!! I am so glad that Peter is doing better. I know that has to be a huge relief for you.

We had a good trip home. We got unloaded & the fridge stuff put away. Then we brought Miss Gail home. We had to stop by the kids house & then we went out to eat. By the time we got home it was ~8:30 or so. We got undressed & was ready to just relax for a few minutes. WRONG. Bill's mom's bf called. She had fell and he couldn't get her up by himself. So...we got dressed (we actually had them off maybe all of 10 minutes!) and went over to her place. In my younger days (20 something years ago), I worked in nursing homes so after ensuring that her hip/back/etc was ok, and with me directing the guys how to pick her up, we finally got her to her bed (she was on the floor beside it). She was refusing to let anyone call the ambulance to get checked out. I finally made a deal with her that if she couldn't hold her weight standing up, we'd be able to call 911. Afterall, Bob would hurt himself if he tried to get her to the bathroom even. She agreed...and she couldn't stand. So 911. As of 4 this morning, her sugars were bouncing all over the place. At one point, it was 39. She is a diabetic but for quite awhile it's been high...200's and more. So..they said it'll probably take a few days to get it under control. They seem to think that could contribute to her lack of leg strength. Our bodies are strange things, aren't they? At 83, it's nothing to mess around with.
So..I didn't go to work today. Bill just reminded me that my mammagram is at 4 today. It's a good thing he checked..I had totally forgotten about it! So...it's about time to get dressed. Then it's off to the hospital to see Jean...then off to 86th street for my smooshing. One thing about it though, they spoil you there! You get this thick plush robe to put on and after your scans they take you in a room with hot cocoa (sf or reg), coffee (decaf or reg), and cookies (sf or reg). They have comfy chairs and you just sit & relax & pretend you are in a spa while you are waiting to see if your scans were ok. Shoot...after this weekend & last night???? I'm lible to be
when they come back out for me!
You all have a good day and for those who didn't make it to the camp-out, mark it on your calendars! It'll be the first or second weekend in August. We wait until we know the date of the Middlebury Summer Festival to pinpoint the date...but that is the timeframe. There's RV sites, cabins, and tents. The key really is to get your reservation in EARLY. So....I'll start posting about it probably in March..when Hope's KOA opens for the season (Hope is a member of the board. She & her hubby own the KOA & give us a discount for going there..AND we get to see her to boot! How great is that???).
Huggs..
