Update & stuff

First for the 'stuff'...

I wanted to remind everyone that when they send out goodies to their secret elves, please check at the post office to ensure that you have enough postage on it. Either that, or put my address down for the return address. One person appreciated a gift they recieved a week or so ago...but would had appreciated it more if there wasn't a postage due on it. They did stamp the package so they thought they had enough postage on it. Honest mistake...but one stamp just doesn't go very far anymore.

And now the update...

Well..that test is done. It was interesting. The first portion, not so much so. Drink Barium, take an x-ray (all of them were laying down), drink the rest of the barium. Wait awhile, take an x-ray. Drink a 2nd glass of barium. Wait awhile, take another x-ray. Wait awhile, take a series of x-rays that were more like sonograms where I could see what they were seeing. How cool, huh? A radiologist came in with the tech and had me turn to my left, turn to my right, on my back, then turn again. He had me stay on my right side so that 'hopefully gravity will help' to see if the barium would coat a section on the intestines. It didn't so I had to wait another 20 minutes. Then that radiologist & tech did them again but that time, a senior radiologist was in the room attached and had them have me go back & forth. I think the place with no barium the time before, still had none. It was funny..he said initially that they were trying to "figure out your anatomy". I explained about the RNY and got a 'yeah'..like'yeah, we knew that'. And then I reminded him about last October. I got the same 'yeah'. And then I said something about maybe they weren't put back in exactly how God had them. And he said "you mean that your intestines were completely taken out of your body?". After I said yes, he wondered how I handled that. I told him I was in a drug induced coma so it didn't matter to me at all at the time. LOL! He then told the senior guy that I had said that it 'felt' like my stomach distends. I corrected him really quick. I said 'No, it's not that it 'feels' like it. I have documented it. I have timed pictures with a measuring tape to show that it DOES go from 34" to 40" within a matter of hours'. Anyway, now I wait for the radiologist(s) to write their report to Dr. Fecht. I hope he'll get it & call me within the next few days.  Just from what I picked up on what was said, what I saw on the screen, etc, I would not be surprised at all to learn that my intesines aren't communicating the way Dr. Fecht suspected.

All of that getting up & down wore me out. Every time I got up, my stomach did it's little pooching trick and then I had to wait a few minutes for things to get shifted again for being vertical. now, my tummy is kinda spastic. It can get this way when I take my meds for it. It's even more so since I couldn't take my first dose of the day until ~1.

I couldn't handle the thought of trying to work after that so I went to Meijer's and did a little bit of shopping therapy! LOL! Well..I needed a new purse.

I do appreciate everyone's well wishes, prayers and hope's. As soon as I know something more about the test, I'll be sure to pass it on to you!

You aught to carry those timed pictures with you so they can see... THEY NEVER believe we know what we are talking about.,... THEY are the ones who went to school... it is just our bodies we are living in...Or trying to live in...

Hope they found an answer for you.
