TGIF

Good HOT morning to all.  It is a beautiful and bright day here today.  Gotta LOVE that!!!

I am taking the girls swimming today at a friends house.  She invited us over last night, so I am surprising them today.

I am planning on meeting up with Holly tomorrow.  Yesterday afternoon, we spoke several times, and just as it was time for me to leave to meet up at Patoka lake,  I went outside to get in the car, and low-and-behold, I had a freaking flat tire! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!  I called her and told her what was going on, so we have decided that we will try to get together tomorrow before they leave to go back home.  Hope they have fun at Holiday World today!

Jimmy was told yesterday at his new job that he is definatly going to be the one they want as a manager!!!  He is so excited!  Yesterday, he was supposed to go in at 4, then they told him 3.......and then at 11:30 yesterday morning, they called and asked him how soon he could get here!!!  He worked from 12 noon until 12:30 AM!!!  Talk about tired, but he LOVED it!!!  He is such a different person again now that he is working!  He and I had several disagreements in the past about how he made his job his #1 priority in life, and when they called him in yesterday, he actually asked me first if that was ok if he went in early!  Talk about shocking me!!!  Of course I said yes, because I know we need the money first off, but then, it really looks great on him to be available when they need him.  He is a totally different person with a great outlook on life again.  His depression is gone completely, and he has started laughing again!  It is such a wonderful sound!  The girls love it too! Thanks so much for all the prayers this past 7 months, because I know that is what has gotten us thru everything else.  He says that prayers are what has kept us safe, and I agree.

Well, I have rambled on enough now.  I really need to try to get a nap in, but I don't think it is going to happen.  Go figure!  Just 5 more days of working swing shift! WOOOO HOO!!!  I start back on days on the 13th!  Talk about a relief!  There I go rambling again.  TTYL!

Yesterday was kindergarten enrollment, and it was the biggest mess I've ever seen.  Unbelievable.  Our schools have a new superintendent and they are really enforcing residency boundaries for all the neighborhood schools, plus they want to start enforcing class sizes.  What that means is that I have no idea if Emily will be in morning or afternoon kindergarten, nor do they know when they'll have it figured out, much less how they are going to tell us! They also couldn't guarantee busing (complete and total BS) because I missed a meet n greet they did in May (as did about 90% of the other kindergarten parents that were there).  However, since my Dad retired from the military he's been a bus driver here, so he said he'll personally make sure she is assigned to a bus.  Of course, I don't know if she's morning or afternoon yet! To top it off, if class sizes at her assigned school are too big, they'll ship some kids to another school....but don't know when they will be determined or how they will let us know.  So yeah, I was not a happy Mommy yesterday!!

Today is a better day.  I'm down to 191 this morning....4/10ths from losing 50 pounds!! So excited!! Getting ready to head to the library to turn in the last of the kids' books to wrap up the summer reading club and get their final prizes.  After lunch my parents are picking us up to go school clothes shopping and I need a new bra or two. 

Tomorrow we're taking the girls to the Chlidren's Museum...they are so excited, it's good motivation to keep them on their best behavior this week!

I'm jealous! You NEED a new bra or two??? I can't wait until I can actually use a bra instead of just something to tuck all the skin in! I think of them as a pair of tube socks with a ping pong ball tucked into the toe of each!

I saw Gail today wish I could have sat and visted longer... she is only 20 minutes or so away from me so maybe I will be meeting up with you guys from time to time!! I LOVED my visit with Gail and I can not thank you enough for your thoughtful ness about my health... I am requesting FOCUSED Prayer for my job situation.. I am getting the interviews not I need help landing the job.. or getting thru the background ck or whatever is stalling the job...

Me funny? I started snickering over the cleavage meeting the navel! It'd be funny if it weren't so dang true!

I'm glad I was able to help with the other. That's what buddies are for! Now that you know how close you are to Gail, maybe you can join us for lunch sometime when we go. We usually stick pretty close to where she lives (which isn't too far from where I work either). Shanna's joined us before and so has Cindy & Richard. The Red lobster on Thompson is a fave of mine! Their lunch menu is pretty reasonable as long as you don't go with lobster (or dinner portions of stuff). Let us know if there's a best day of the week for you. I know Fridays are the best day for Cindy...but like Cindy, I'm about ready to switch over to four 10 hr days with having Friday-Sundays off so I won't be on the south side much for lunch on Fridays.
