Today is my 1 year surgiversary.... w/ pics
Misty I can't believe the difference! You look wonderful! I hope I do as good in 1 year! In you writing you said that you are the "fat girl" regardless, well you are not alone on this feeling. A friend of mine had RNY and she had a sister who also had it, and this woman says she always goes to the plus size area when shopping for clothes. She looks like she wears a 12 or less and so she should not ever go to the "plus size" area to shop! She says that she always feels fat and gets her new clothes too big! So just know that you do things the same as others. Just keep up the good work!
Misty, you look awesome!!!
The difference in the before & after photos is phenomenal!!!
The feeling like a "normal" weight will come in time.
About 10 years ago, I lost 120 pounds in about 12 months through not so healthy dieting and militant exercise, and I maintained it for nearly 2 years. People were starting to tell me that I was looking anorexic and taking it too far, and I still felt big. I had times where I felt phenomenal when I'd see the sizes I'd wear, but it is a shock seeing how differently people treat you when you are still the same person you were is something that can be depressing.
Things will only continue to improve for you and I just wanted to tell you that I've read your posts for about a year because you were trying for surgery at the same time I was last year and you got approved, around the same time that I got denied, but seeing & reading your progress has been one of the inspirations that has kept me trying. So even though you might have those times where you feel down about where you are, you are inspiring people that are at different stages of this journey.
Thanks, and again, you look great.
